With over 60 students in 2024, I’ve developed a unique program that addresses both the theoretical and practical aspects of language and literature studies. Over the past 3 years, I’ve helped more than 130 students achieve at least a grade 7 in their GCSEs. About Me Language is not just a tool for communication, it's rather a reflection of how we see ourselves, our world and culture. I am a PhD candidate who recently published a paper on sexism and gender bias to help promote social justice by teaching politically correct language. In light of my educational research I learned that each student has a unique mind and uses different techniques to learn. Hence, my responsibility entails guiding each individual to unlock their complete potential. In my free time you'll always find me in the gym, or on a football pitch. With extensive experience teaching a wide range of subjects, I have developed interdisciplinary methods that make learning both enjoyable and relevant. Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.
