My name is Arcel, and I’m 29 years old. I'm a Math teacher but I can also teach Science (Biology & Chemistry) and Sociology. I like also playing basketball and guitar—two activities that allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. My name is Mark Sean A. Manubag, and I hold a degree in Chemistry. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring high school and college students, mainly in math, chemistry, and physics. I love making complex topics feel simple and approachable for learners at different levels. As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe in guiding students step by step until they feel confident in themselves. One of my strengths is breaking down difficult concepts into clear, relatable ideas. Seeing students progress—from struggling on quizzes to celebrating their own achievements—is what inspires me to teach. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. During my studies, I gained extensive training in laboratory instrumentation, including GCMS, FTIR, AAS, and UV-Vis, and completed internships with the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Philippine–Japan Active Carbon Corporation. My undergraduate thesis focused on the spectrophotometric determination of phenolics from plant extracts, which strengthened my background in analytical chemistry. After graduation, I successfully passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Chemists in September 2014. Alongside my academic journey, I began working as a freelance tutor between 2012 and 2014, supporting high school and college students in mathematics, chemistry, and other sciences. Many of the students I taught came from institutions with advanced science and math programs, while others needed help building foundational understanding. Hi! I'm Simon, a Chemical Engineering Graduate from the University of Manchester, with over three years of teaching and tutoring experience. For the past 3 years I have been running a tutoring business teaching mostly Maths and Science subjects from Year 7 to A-Level. I completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester, an accredited pre-chartership qualification within the field. This rigorous program combined in-depth academic study with practical industry exposure, preparing me for a professional career in chemical engineering. The course covered a wide range of core modules, including Thermodynamics, Process Optimisation, and Fluid Mechanics, in which I achieved consistently high marks, graduating with a First-Class classification at the bachelor's level. My final-year dissertation centred on sustainable surfactant research, which sparked a deeper interest in the environmental impact of chemical processes. This has led me to transition into a more corporate sustainability role, where I support the integration of sustainable practices across the business.
