My name is Abdurrehman and I am a Business student at the University of Salford. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Business and Economics has a huge importance in my life, not only because of its link to my career, but because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAB in my A Levels and 8s and 7s in GCSEs, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my Maths teachers always applauded my excellent problem solving and maths skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. I enjoy teaching science because, apart from being great at it in my GCSEs, i like how vast the subjects are and how ever evolving they are. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didn't understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to mention all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. I have availability for students Mondays and Wednesdays daytimes only. I have been an educator and trainer for over 16 years and love nothing more than seeing students achieve their goals. I am a scuba diving instructor as my main role and work all over the world. I enjoy watching Netflix and love diving even when I am not in work. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world through all my roles during my career. I tutor 11+, English at primary level and also tutor mathematics and science up to GCSE. I have knowledge of all UK countries curriculum and also the German curriculum. I myself completed the 11+ equivalent when younger and understand the commitment and learning that is needed to succeed. My favourite subjects in school were maths, science and physical education. I am also experienced in working with children with additional learning needs.

Hi, I’m Hayden Aaron Lai Tanate, an energetic and focused Chemistry teacher! I love helping students understand topics and connect them with each other. My goal is to make learning Chemistry feel like second nature by regularly incorporating activities and real-world applications to build your confidence. During my breaks, I enjoy playing various video games and creating fantastical worlds, which helps me think creatively and tailor my lessons to be understood by anyone, regardless of their background. I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, where I gained a robust understanding of various topics in Physics and Chemistry. My studies equipped me with deep knowledge and understanding, while my experience prepared me to recognize each student’s starting point and match their pace. This ensures they no longer feel lost, and can start to feel confident and excel.
