Hello! My name is Ollie and I tutor psychology. I’m a recent university graduate who is looking to help others through their studies. I have a broad experience tutoring and mentoring, working with people to reach their aims and goals. I aim to keep my sessions as clear and focussed as possible, working with you during an initial meeting to set aims and priorities. This will inform the session structure going forward. I cover content, concepts, research, revision or just quick exam tips and technique! Drop me a message and I'll respond ASAP. I first started studying psychology during secondary school - I found it really interesting and enjoyed it, so I continued my studies at university, where I achieved a BSc Psychology degree. Whilst studying for my degree, I began tutoring the subject to peers who were looking for support. This experience of helping others develop the skills and confidence they needed was very rewarding, and something I enjoy to this day.

I am an English Literature graduate from the University of Birmingham, who is currently studying a Masters degree in Philosophy. I really enjoy English and Philosophy as they can be a really fun subjects to learn as well as teach. I found that at school my teachers made the subjects enjoyable, so much so that I got a grade 9 in my English Literature GCSE and a grade 8 in English Language as well as a grade A* in my Religious Studies A-level and a 2:1 in my English Literature degree. Therefore, I aim to help students improve their grades by making learning enjoyable because when something is difficult to learn it can be difficult to want to understand and persevere. As a tutor, it is important to understand areas of struggle and help to adapt them in a way that is more accessible to the student. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: 1 Grade 9 in English Literature, 4 Grade 8’s (1 Grade 8 being in English Language), 3 Grade 7’s and 2 Grade 6’s. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A* in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, an A in English Literature and a B in German. I graduated from the University of Birmingham as an undergraduate English Literature student with a 2:1 Honours and have recently graduated with a MSc in Philosophy, Mental Health, and Psychology.

I am a Maths teacher with 4 years of experience. I studied Mathematics at the University of Reading, and earned my PGCE there too. I have worked with 3 GCSE classes to achieve their required grades in Mathematics and Numeracy. I am also able to teach A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and have worked with one AS level class on their applied work in these areas. I studied BSc Mathematics at the University of Reading and achieved a 2:1 in 2021. I then went on to complete my PGCE in Secondary Education at the same university. I have completed a module at The Open University for my Masters in Education and will be completing the final module in the academic year 2026/27.
