Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. As an educator, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident, encouraging them to share their hobbies, interests, and personal experiences. I incorporate these elements into lessons and practice problems, making the learning process more relatable, enjoyable, and aligned with their unique passions. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University in the Philippines. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both teaching and the Electrical Engineering industry, with a particular focus on renewable energy. My career spans various roles in engineering, project management, strategic planning, and teaching, equipping me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. In addition to my technical expertise, I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications, ensuring that students not only develop strong academic foundations but also acquire the practical skills and insights needed to excel in their careers. I believe in providing students with a well-rounded learning experience that prepares them for the dynamic challenges of the engineering world, particularly in emerging sectors like renewable energy. My name is Isshaq Miskin Sahibu, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science in Aberdeen.
