Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

My name is Shandana Wahid. I am 18 years old and study Politics, International Studies and German at the University of Warwick. I am an experienced tutor with over 1.5 years of teaching experience in economics and politics. I have 10 GCSES, from grades 8-6, including maths, business and triple science. My experience at a grammar school enables me to use interactive, effective teaching methods to help my students improve their grades. I achieved an A* in A-Level economics, an A in A-Level Politics and a B in A-Level History. My teaching style centres on each individual student's needs, with a series of structured, goal-oriented lessons. Hello, I'm Jonathon, I'm an experienced tutor and teacher of Science (and occasionally P.E) with a passion to ensure that all students are able to reach their full potential. I qualified as a teacher in 2021 and I have been teaching and tutoring in Science (and P.E) since then and I have experience with the four major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC) and at both the foundation & higher tiers for combined and separate science. Outside of teaching/tutoring, I spend most of my time travelling or involved with sport. My academic background includes a PGCE in Secondary Education (specialising in Science), a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Sport and Health Science as well as an FdSc degree in Sports Science and Injury Management. These are all in addition to A levels and GCSE’s in Science. My experience is a total of over 5 years teaching experience and 4 years experience tutoring in the subject of Science. Additionally I have a further 7 years experience working exclusively with SEND students.

I recently graduated with a degree in Mathematics and have a strong passion for helping others understand and enjoy the subject. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students with their maths, but also to help build their confidence in it. Can tutor Maths from 11+ to A-Level. I attended the University of Nottingham, where I recently completed my Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics. Alongside my degree, I have a strong academic background in the subject, having studied Maths at both GCSE and A-Level. I also have experience tutoring children, which has helped me develop the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and engagingly. I am confident in my ability to support students of different ages and levels.
