Hello, My name is Siviwe Msibi, I am a very social person, an animal lover and a very practical person. I love logical debates and have a great time reading up on facts I do not know. My personality is closely linked to my hobbies and this is attributed to my upbringing. I grew up in a very lively environment. This has made me very adventurous and am a risk taker. For my primary education, I started in Eswatini, then after a year went to South Africa in the upper foundational phase. Hi there! I have over 4 years experience tutoring a range of subjects. My specialties are maths, physics, chemistry and Spanish, which I've mostly taught at A-Level and GCSE tiers. I have a BA in mathematics which I studied alongside tutoring, so I can appreciate teaching from both sides of the classroom. Much of my experience revolves around helping students to prepare for exams, and working through past papers together is an invaluable tool for this. I'm also very passionate about my subjects, with STEM I've always had a deep personal interest in how the Universe works, and I've always loved Spain and seeing how the logic in different languages works. I enjoy explaining what I know to others, which puts me in a good position to be a tutor. It's also great to see students progressing over time. My tutoring method is based around giving the student the tools they need and guiding them to solve problems themselves, rather than simply being told the answers. I believe this process helps students to learn how to think critically, and thus become more independent and able to solve problems on their own in the future. I am a dedicated student of Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a strong passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps—an approach I bring into my tutoring sessions. Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in sports including football, badminton, snooker, and golf. I believe that the discipline and strategic thinking gained from sports complement my academic pursuits and enhance my ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. I'm enthusiastic about helping learners build confidence and achieve their goals in a supportive and engaging environment. I am currently studying Mathematics and Actuarial Science at the University of Southampton, where I am continuing to deepen my understanding of mathematical theory, statistical analysis, and their real-world applications. This degree is further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. Before university, I completed my A Levels at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College, achieving an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry—subjects I now tutor. My success in these subjects has given me the confidence and insight to support students in mastering challenging concepts and developing effective exam strategies. I completed my GCSEs at Pinner High School, earning 11 GCSEs at grades 9 to 7, including top marks in Maths and the Sciences. This academic foundation has given me a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the expectations of exam boards. Having recently been through the school and sixth form system myself, I am well placed to relate to students and provide guidance that is both up-to-date and practical. I aim to create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle their weaknesses, and build confidence in their abilities.

There are 2 things I have loved all my life- reading and music. As such, I play 3 instruments (Trombone, Guitar and Piano), love to sing all kinds of music and dance as often as I can. I also love reading all kinds of things- from Journal articles, to English literature, manga to comic books and even encyclopaedias about insects and animals! I also rather love technology, and love using technology to learn and help others learn. Furthermore, I like talking to different people and I'm a good listener. I have acquired a level 5 TEFL qualification, certified by Qualifi. I have a Bachelors and Honours in Chiropractic and have just completed my Masters in Chiropractic, making me a fully qualified practitioner. My Masters requires me to complete an original dissertation to be able to qualify and the findings of my dissertation are going to be published in a local journal later this year.
