I am currently studying Law at Durham University and have started to tutor in the summer, whilst I am at home. At university, I have joined the dance society. I play the piano and the flute and enjoy listening to all different types of music, from pop to classical! During my time at school I was in the school band and performed in various charity showcases. English and History were my favourite subjects at GCSE, so I decided to take them at A-Level. I enjoy learning about the past, with my favourite topic being medicine throughout time. My favourite area of English is poetry, and I enjoy reading a vast majority of poems from different periods in time analysing what the poems wider message symbolises.

My name is Aarushi and I am a MEng Aerospace Electronic Engineering student at University of Southampton with over 5 years of tutoring experience in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. I love making tricky topics click for others and bring energy, curiosity, and the occasional space fact to every lesson! I graduated with a First Class Honours in my undergraduate studies in Aerospace Electronic Engineering, during which I was honoured with accolades including the National AI and Robotics Student of the Year award and the prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship. Academically, I achieved top grades across all my GCSE and A-Level subjects, earning A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics. Throughout my academic journey, I have also completed several internships, equipping me with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

I am a results-oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills who has maintained a positive attitude in all situations. I enjoy learning new things, taking on challenges, and finding practical solutions to problems. Whether working independently or as part of a team, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to doing my best. My role of Head Girl at my past school, St John's College allowed me to improve my time management skills as I had to balance this role alongside my A Level examinations and UCAS deadlines. I've been a ballet dancer since the age of 4 and have completed my Grade 8 aswell as my Intermediate qualification. I've also completed my RAD Assistant Teacher Training course which helped my organisational skills and highlights my dedication to teaching others. I want to teach because I enjoy helping others understand topics they once found difficult and seeing their confidence grow. Maths can feel intimidating, and I find it rewarding to break concepts down in a clear, supportive way that makes learning feel achievable. I am a dedicated and passionate teacher who believes in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I enjoy helping students grow not only academically but also in confidence and curiosity. I value patience, clear communication, and lifelong learning. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, learning new skills, and finding creative ways to bring lessons to life. I appreciate meaningful conversations, organization, and collaboration, and I’m looking to connect with people who value education, responsibility, and personal growth. I am a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential. I hold IGCSE qualifications in Mathematics, English Literature, and English Language, as well as a GCSE in Psychology. In addition, I have completed NCFE CACHE Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning, which have provided me with a solid foundation in educational practice, child development, and effective classroom support strategies. Through my professional experience, I have worked closely with children across a range of abilities, including students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles, break down complex concepts into manageable steps, and create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I understand that every learner is unique, and I take pride in tailoring my tutoring approach to meet each student’s academic and emotional needs. As a tutor, I aim to build confidence as well as subject knowledge. I believe that when students feel understood and supported, they are more motivated and willing to engage with their learning. I use clear explanations, structured guidance, and positive reinforcement to help students overcome challenges and develop independent learning skills. My background in psychology also allows me to recognise potential learning barriers and respond with patience and empathy. I am committed, organised, and reliable, and I value clear communication with both students and parents to ensure progress is monitored effectively. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to foster a positive attitude towards learning that will benefit them long beyond their studies.

Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. If you’re looking for someone who will help you learn in a relaxed, encouraging way, I’d love to work with you. Let’s make studying feel manageable — and maybe even enjoyable. I attended Elthorne Park High School, and then Twyford CofE High School, where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels. I’m now a second-year medical student at the University of Dundee. Through my studies, I’ve developed strong skills in biology, Maths, and effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning.
