Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! I appreciate people who try, no matter what their ability is, and i love seeing people achieve things that they never dreamed they could. Let me help you do that. I achieved A* in Economics and A's in Biology and Chemistry in my recent A-levels. Unlike typical tutors, I've been in the student's shoes, balancing A-levels, a social life, and university applications. As a gap year student aspiring to study medicine, I'm here to guide you through this challenging journey. In Year 12, I faced initial struggles, earning E, D, and C grades in Economics, Chemistry, and Biology. But within 8 months, I transformed my grades in economics achieving one of the highest marks in the country. As a student I've overcome the same roadblocks, revision hardships, and academic pressures as you. Top grades require more than just content knowledge; they demand effective hard work. Luck plays a role, but it's essentially a mathematical probability principle. With strategic effort, you can tilt the odds in your favour, no matter what challenges come your way. My tutoring sessions are personalised to each student's needs. To ensure the most effective guidance, I ask students to provide specific instructions for our sessions. This way, I can tailor my approach . My tutoring philosophy is based on a series of books / research paper i have read on educational neurosciences of how to learn most effectively which i personally implemented thus i know work for the average student . Spaces are available but they are limited Achieved A* , A , A in alevels in 2023 in Economics , Biology , Chemistry respectively. As a student I know the struggles of taking some of the hardest alevels and balancing the workload that comes with them , I also took GCSEs in 2021 and received 12 GSCES at 9-7 grades .

My name is Katy and I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Politics & Modern History. I have been living in Spain & France so am fluent in both languages whilst tutoring to a wide range of ages for the past few years. I am calm, interactive and experienced and enjoy working with students to help achieve their goals. I am TEFL certified, and have plenty of experience with all GCSE & A level examination boards. With regards to languages, I am able to support students in all aspects of exam preparation, from reading & writing to speaking & listening. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian & Chinese history, as well as Modern African history, whilst including modules in advanced Spanish. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied a range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English literature, Physics and Maths.
