I have availability for students Mondays and Wednesdays daytimes only. I have been an educator and trainer for over 16 years and love nothing more than seeing students achieve their goals. I am a scuba diving instructor as my main role and work all over the world. I enjoy watching Netflix and love diving even when I am not in work. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world through all my roles during my career. I tutor 11+, English at primary level and also tutor mathematics and science up to GCSE. I have knowledge of all UK countries curriculum and also the German curriculum. I myself completed the 11+ equivalent when younger and understand the commitment and learning that is needed to succeed. My favourite subjects in school were maths, science and physical education. I am a...

I have a PhD in physics from Newcastle University. I was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). I am therefore highly qualified to teach STEM subjects. I have extensive experience (100 hours) teaching Maths to GCSE students online. I have also taught Physics and Maths to A Level students for several years during summer schools. I have also led modules for undergraduate students in Physics at all stages. I enjoy building a connection with my students and tailoring my sessions to suit their needs. I am able to breakdown complex problems into bitesize pieces to ensure that students can make tangible progress in a short amount of time and build their confidence. PhD in Physics - Newcastle University Visiting Researcher - University of Cambridge BSc in Applied Physics (Minor in Computer Science) - City University of Hong Kong Visiting Researcher - Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Undergraduate Exchange Student - University College London (UCL)

I'm a postgraduate and researcher who is passionate about Sociology and wants other students to become passionate as well!I think it's such a broad subject so everyone can find something that interests them! Outside of working and tutoring I have a huge love for creative hobbies such as books, reading, film, tv and theatre I have a BA in Sociology (1st class), during my education I specialised in Race & Ethnicity, Gender & sexuality, Culture & Identity, Research Methods and many other areas. I also have an MSc in Public Sociology, in which I specialised in the same areas as above but also social media, social activism and social policy. Also I am a qualified Equality and Diversity professional, I have a Level 2 and 3 qualification in Equality and Diversity and I also have a Level 2 in LGBT Inclusion in the workplace. This is something I continue to be passionate about and I am currently working towards my next level. Equality and Diversity is also my full time job outside of tutoring.

As a dedicated and compassionate tutor, I bring a calm, creative, and personalised approach to every session. I believe that every child learns differently, so I tailor my methods to suit each student’s unique needs, strengths, and personality. Whether a student needs help building foundational skills, catching up, or reaching higher levels of achievement, I create a supportive environment where they feel encouraged, understood, and motivated. My style is highly interactive and flexible—I use creative strategies to make challenging concepts easier to grasp and lessons more engaging. From breaking down tricky problems to celebrating small wins, I focus on building confidence and independence in every learner. I'm also incredibly patient and understanding, always taking the time to listen, adapt, and ensure your child feels safe to ask questions and make mistakes as part of the learning process. I work closely with both students and parents to set clear goals and track progress, always maintaining open and honest communication. With a genuine passion for helping children succeed, I strive not just to improve academic performance, but to instil a lifelong love of learning. If you're looking for a tutor who will meet your child where they are, inspire growth, and make learning a positive experience, I’d love to help. I studied Biology, Chemistry, and Sociology at A-level and am currently pursuing a clinically science-based degree, which keeps me deeply engaged with scientific concepts on a daily basis. This strong academic foundation allows me to teach both subjects with clarity, confidence, and real-world relevance. I currently teach GCSE Biology and GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, with a particular specialism in Organic chemistry. My in-depth understanding of the subject allows me to explain even the most challenging topics in a way that makes sense to students. I focus heavily on building core understanding, improving exam technique, and boosting confidence—especially in areas students often find overwhelming, like mechanisms, reaction pathways, and applied problem-solving. I’ve previously worked as a tutor and completed a Teaching and Mentoring Programme specifically designed for supporting GCSE Chemistry students. This gave me valuable experience in planning lessons, adapting to different learning styles, and guiding students toward tangible academic improvement. My teaching style is clear, structured, and supportive. I aim to make complex ideas simple and use relatable examples to help students connect with the material. Whether a student is aiming for top grades or trying to gain confidence in the basics, I provide a patient, focused, and motivating environment for them to learn and succeed.

Hi Shaun here, I am a Grammar school student and having done the 11+ myself find comfortable in tutoring students taking the 11+ in addition to those in Years 7-11, as my main strengths are in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I did take Biology and Chemistry for my A levels and have achieved A grades in all these subjects. I am currently a medical undergraduate student working towards my Medical Degree. I was a Grammar School student having completed my GCSEs and A-Levels before I moved on to University. I am currently a Medical undergraduate student. For my GCSEs I achieved grade 9 in Math, Biology and Physics, grade 8 in Geography and Chemistry and grade 7 in both English literature, language, History and Spanish. For my A-Levels I achieved grade A for Biology and Chemistry. Towards my university admission process for medicine I took the UCAT test having achieved a score of 3060 placing me in the top 3% of UCAT test takers in the country for that year.
