Hello! I'm Alex, an enthusiastic English teacher from England with a love for making learning fun, engaging and memorable. I've always been passionate about language - starting from my early school days, where I would read thesauruses and Atlases memorising all the words and capital cities for pure entertainment! Now, I focus on helping students enjoy and remember what they learn, making every lesson both captivating and effective. With a degree in Media, Culture & Social Sciences from the University of the West of England and as a fully qualified TEFL teacher, I bring a rich blend of cultural insight and academic excellence to my English teaching. I’ve traveled extensively across China, South America, and Europe, which has deepened my understanding of diverse learning styles and cultural nuances. In addition to my educational background, I’m also a certified health coach, specialising in holistic healing and self-empowerment. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! Hi! My name is Mariyah, a friendly and dedicated Maths tutor currently on my gap year after completing my A-levels. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and reach their full potential in both GCSE Maths and 11+ preparation. Having recently been through the exam process myself, I understand how to explain topics clearly, boost exam technique, and make lessons engaging and approachable. My sessions are tailored to each student’s learning style, focusing on building understanding and confidence step by step. I have recently completed my A-levels at St Clement Danes, studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry, getting BCC.
