Hi, I'm Evie, I'm 21 years old and currently studying Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University. I achieved a grade 9 in biology, chemistry and maths at GCSE, and I am looking forward to helping you do your best! I want to work together to tailor your tutoring experience to what you need the most. ◡̈ I attended Newcastle-under-Lyme School and NULS Sixth Form. At NULS, I achieved grade 8 in English language and PE, and a 7 in Spanish, with distinction in speaking. I achieved a grade 9 in all other GCSEs, including triple science and an extra GCSE in further maths. At A-level, I received a C in biology, chemistry, and maths and an A at AS level Photography. I am currently studying towards a BSc in Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University.

I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am now studying Law in university, which has been a passion of mine for many years. My education journey has provided me with joyful and beneficial experiences, as well as challenges that have developed my resilience and shaped me as a person.

I’m Mane, a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor with over five years of tutoring experience, I specialize in helping students build strong foundations in English and Maths, from Year 1 through Year 11. I have a particular passion for preparing students for the 11+ exams and supporting them through their GCSE English and Maths (both Foundation and Higher levels). In addition to my academic tutoring, I have experience as a mental arithmetic teacher, helping students develop rapid calculation skills and strengthen their numerical confidence. As a multilingual tutor, I speak English, Russian, and Armenian, which allows me to connect with a diverse range of learners and tailor my teaching to their needs. I have successfully completed my Bachelor's degree in Labor Economics at the Armenian State University of Economics and subsequently acquired my Master's degree in International Management from Buckingham University. ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.
