I'm Anoushka, a devoted Mechanical Engineering student at Bournemouth University, with a strong passion for mentoring the next generation in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French and German. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

I am passionate about Chemistry, with a PhD in the subject and over five years of tutoring experience. My tutoring style is to ensure a solid foundation in the core concepts, then practicing the skills with exam questions. I cover all exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc) and all topics in Chemistry at GCSE and A level. My highest level of education is a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University. I also obtained an MChem with First Class Honours from Durham University. My A level subjects were Chemistry, Maths, Biology and French (all A grades), as well as 11 A* grades at GCSE.

I am Miriam Hajj, a 23-year-old dedicated medical student with a strong passion for education. I aspire to become an expert medical doctor and ultimately a university professor, where I can guide and inspire students to achieve their academic goals in the most effective and supportive manner. I firmly believe that education is not merely a requirement, but a pathway for personal and intellectual growth. I have been tutoring for approximately seven years, since I was in college, supporting students across various levels, including GCSE and A-Level. I have also worked in different educational centres, particularly with students who had failed their national exams. I organized intensive one-month courses focusing on biology, chemistry, math and physics, and I am proud to say that almost all of my students successfully passed their exams. I have also tutored students preparing for the DELF exam for those aspiring to study in France. During medical school, I further honed my tutoring skills by organizing intensive three-month sessions for students preparing for medical and engineering school entrance exams. I then successfully competed in the highly selective medical school entrance examination, facing fierce competition from over 1000 applicants for only 100 places. The examination comprised rigorous written tests in all subjects, including a crucial English and French language proficiency test. I am proud to have secured 50th place. I am currently in my fifth year of medical school, eagerly anticipating the commencement of my hospital internship in the coming months.
