Hello, I'm Lorraine, a passionate educator devoted to helping students achieve their full potential through an enjoyable learning journey. With expertise in English, Science, Geography, Music, and Accounting, I inspire and guide students towards academic success and personal growth. In my free time, I love diving into the world of languages, getting lost in a good book, and exploring various crafts. Whether it's mastering a new language, indulging in literary adventures, or creating handmade treasures, my hobbies keep me inspired and ready to bring that enthusiasm into the classroom. 😊 I hold TESOL and TEFL certifications and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree. With over two years as an ESL tutor, I have conducted more than 4,500 classes for students ranging from young children to adults. My personalized approach caters to individual learning needs, fostering confidence both inside and outside the classroom while keeping students engaged and motivated. Additionally, my experience as an account trainer has provided me with extensive training to further expand my knowledge and skills. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment where every student can thrive.

I'm currently a veterinary medicine student at university, slated to graduate in 2030. I have two younger brothers and have always been one of those strange children who enjoyed going to school for the learning, not just the fun. Outside of education I am a knitter, a crocheter, a badminton player, and an avid creative writer. I was involved in Scouts for two years and was part of the National Honour Society in high school, a society for students in American high schools that select members based on four pillars: academics, character, service, and leadership. I enjoy explaining things and hope to ensure that my students gain a greater appreciation of the subject matter, but I will settle for getting them through their exams if that's all they want. I attended CAJ, an international high school in Japan that following the American curriculum. I took 10 AP subjects, which are slightly narrower in scope but no less thorough in depth than A levels, and scored 5s (highest score) in all but English language, where I scored a 3 (pass mark). The AP subjects I took were Japanese, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics 2, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and English Literature and Composition.

Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh
