I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. Hi, I’m Sophie Rose, an enthusiastic and dedicated math teacher! I love helping students explore the world of mathematics in engaging and innovative ways. My goal is to make learning math exciting through interactive activities, real-world applications, and stimulating problem-solving sessions that spark curiosity and build confidence in my students. In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles and playing chess, which keeps my mind sharp and creative throughout the day. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology, where I developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. My scientific background has enhanced my logical reasoning and precision, which I now apply to teaching Mathematics. I am currently a first year Psychology student at the University of Manchester, with a strong passion for the subject.
