Hi! I'm Amelia and I am a tutor for Biology, Psychology and Maths. I can teach Biology and Maths at GCSE and A-level standard and Psychology at A-level standard. I have experience with the AQA specification for Biology, Psychology and Maths GCSE and OCR for Maths A-level. I love to make lessons interactive and enjoyable for students while still making sure all core content is covered. I love students to ask questions and get involved with their learning, and will ensure I am fully engaged with all topics that the students hope to cover. I am a current first year undergraduate studying Psychology at the University of York. I have just completed my A-levels in Biology, Psychology and Maths and I achieved A*AA respectively. Furthermore, I completed an EPQ during my Year 12 and achieved an A*.

Milo here - an incoming first year medical student and aspiring surgeon, with a passion for medical education. Outside the lecture hall, you’ll find me pushing limits in the gym or tackling challenging trails on my mountain bike, always chasing my next adventure. I’m a life long learner and crave knowledge - I feel a high degree of satisfaction passing on this knowledge throughout my time as a tutor, from breaking down complex theories into understandable chunks of information, to finally being able to answer that tricky exam question; I will be there to support you in your journey through the education system. My teaching style consists of ensuring fundamental topics are well understood - thus building on this foundation with direct application to exam board questions. I do not teach outside of the relevant specification. Once content is well understood, lessons with me will be almost entirely exam question based, working through past paper questions together or sharing thought processes - working with me will ensure you are ready for your GCSE and A-Level exams. I hold a Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong foundation in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. With experience in tutoring both school and university students, I focus on strengthening conceptual understanding and exam techniques. My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style to help them excel confidently. I have pursued my education entirely within the British curriculum, starting with my GCE O Levels and A Levels. I completed my O Levels with a strong focus on science subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, followed by A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. These qualifications have provided me with a solid foundation in analytical thinking and scientific problem-solving. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Throughout my academic journey, Physics has remained a core subject, both in theoretical and applied forms, including mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and control systems. In addition to my formal education, I have gained tutoring experience in Physics, focusing on helping students understand fundamental concepts, improve problem-solving techniques, and prepare effectively for exams. My specializations include classical mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and applied physics in engineering contexts. I am passionate about breaking down complex topics into digestible lessons and supporting students in building both competence and confidence in Physics.
