Hi there! I'm Tami Okono, and I’m excited to support you on your learning journey. I’m a Business Economics graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. I’m passionate about helping students not just understand their subjects, but feel confident applying what they’ve learned in exams. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual pace and learning style. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, travelling, and playing table tennis. For my A-levels, I studied Mathematics, Economics, and Psychology under the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. This gave me a solid academic foundation and a strong understanding of both numerical and essay-based subjects. I completed my IGCSEs under the Cambridge exam board, which exposed me to an internationally recognised curriculum and helped me build disciplined study habits from an early stage. I also completed part of my education in Nigeria, which has given me a broader perspective on learning and allows me to connect with students from different backgrounds and adapt to their individual needs and growth.

I am a friendly and dedicated tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their individual needs, whether they need support with challenging topics or want to strengthen their understanding. Having studied A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, I have a strong foundation in these subjects and aim to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. I am a Chemical Engineering graduate with a strong background in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, logical way. Having studied these subjects at A-Level, I have a solid academic foundation and enjoy helping students build confidence, improve their understanding and achieve their full potential.

I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I specialise in teaching GCSE maths and have led many students to get top grades. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. I use exam questions from your exam board and continue to practice topics with you until you are fluent As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I achieved 5 grades 9’s and 5 grade 8’s at GCSE, this includes: - A 9 in Maths and Chemistry - An 8 in Biology and Physics. Hi, I’m Amaan—a 4th-year medical student at Keele with a passion for teaching. I specialise in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and A-Level.
