Nuzhat Lazina C.

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m currently studying a Master’s in Psychology while training to become a therapist. I also work in education, so I know how to create effective lesson plans that help you understand psychology clearly and enjoyably. I’m here to support your learning every step of the way! I hold a degree in Psychology with Counselling from Bournemouth University and am currently studying for a Master’s degree at the University of Wolverhampton. I am also completing a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. With three years’ experience working in schools, I specialise in supporting small groups, creating tailored and effective lesson plans to enhance learning.

I’m passionate about teaching and problem-solving. I keep learning new techniques to solve the problems and help students in growing their area. I specialise in Maths and Physics at secondary school level, particularly GCSE. I’ve spent years helping classmates during my own studies and guiding my own children through GCSEs and A-Levels to improve their grades. I completed my school and university education from India and I am a Engineering graduate in Computer Science. I have worked with global corporates in IT sector. As part of my academics subjects Maths and Physics have been always my favourite and I scored A* (UK equivalent) in both.

Currently studying Chemistry at the University of York, I love mixing science with creativity. I’m passionate about painting and exploring new places, and I stay active through sports and cheerleading. I enjoy working with others and bringing enthusiasm into everything I take on. I completed my GCSEs at Future Academies Watford before moving to Buxton Community School for my A-Levels, where I studied English Literature, Chemistry, and Biology. I’m now an undergraduate Chemistry student at the University of York, working towards an MChem.

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I moved to Ireland when I was 12 years old. I love Maths and English, but I decided to study Science in college. I love reading classic novels, writing funny stories, and watching Korean dramas. I enjoy travelling, cooking Asian foods and making my friends laugh. I look forward to helping more students! I wrote my Junior and Leaving Certificate in Ireland. For my Leaving Certificate, I studied English (H), Maths (H), Biology (H), Chemistry (H), LCVP (Common), Accounting (H) and French (H). I obtained my BSc. in Analytical and Forensic Science with a Distinction at LYIT (now ATU). I also have a TEFL Certificate for teaching English.
