Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

Hi, I’m Aisha, a dedicated tutor with experience supporting learners in Maths, English, and Science from KS1 to KS4, including SEN students. I’m currently studying for a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Physics, and I love helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I teach : - Maths (KS1–KS4, GCSE Higher level and Lower level) - English (KS1–KS2 and 11+) - Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics KS1–KS4, GCSE) I use clear, step-by-step explanations and adapt my approach to each student’s needs. I focus on building understanding through everyday language, practical examples, and scaffolded resources. My goal is to make learning accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Previous Experience At Learning Cubs Tuition Centre, I’ve worked with students of different ages and abilities, creating tailored resources and step‑by‑step explanations to help them feel confident and motivated. Alongside this, I’ve gained valuable online tutoring experience, adapting lessons to suit each learner’s style and pace. My background in Mathematics and Science gives me a strong academic foundation, while my hands‑on teaching has taught me how to make complex ideas clear and accessible. I look forward to helping your child reach their full potential. I am currently studying for a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Physics with the Open University, which gives me a strong foundation in problem‑solving, logical thinking, and scientific analysis. My degree allows me to bring fresh, up‑to‑date knowledge into my lessons and connect classroom topics to real‑world applications. Before starting my degree, I completed IGCSEs in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Language, and Computer Science. This broad academic background means I can support students across STEM subjects as well as English, helping them to develop both technical skills and clear communication.

I am Sarood, a friendly and dedicated maths tutor who supports her students in every shape and form while fostering a positive, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel motivated, confident, and excited to learn and grow. So I want to bring this change and shape every young individuals lives. I completed my GCSE's at Ormiston Forge Academy where I achieved grades 9-5 in 10 GCSE subjects, including Mathematics 6 and English 7. Additionally, I did my A Levels at Forge too, I got AAAB in Mathematics, Physics, Sociology and EPQ. As a result, I have completed my BSc Honours Mathematics degree with a FIRST CLASS scoring an average of 75.17%.

Je m'appelle Chloé (my name is Chloé) and I am a French native speaker :) As travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages is a real passion of mine, I am very excited to share my own; French culture and language. I myself had to learn a language that is not my native language (English) so I definitely know how challenging it is for my students to learn a new language. Therefore I can particularly help my students to overcome the fears they can have to learn a new language and truly put myself in their shoes. As it worked for me, I like to give lively interactive lessons using images or videos to optimise memory and focus. I also encourage my student to speak as much as possible, as I believe it is the best way to learn any language : 'PARLER, PARLER, PARLER'. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. I also have some experience in teaching A Levels and most particularly with adult learners and travellers. I have experience in private French and Art lessons with children aged 6 to 15. My interests include: travelling : I travelled and lived in over 11 countries and got to know very diverse cultures all over the world. Important : please note that I do not teach English anymore. Teaching Art : I have an Art and design BTEC and studied a BA at the university of the Arts of London (UAL) and currently studying at les beaux arts of Paris and have been a practicing artist ever since. I cam teach Art and Design GCSE students, particularly to give feedback on their portfolio. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. There I got the ESOL Entry 2 (NQF) and the IELTS ( grade 6.5) followed by the BTEC in Art & Design (equivalent to the bacalaureat) and then moved forward to a Fine art BA at UAL. Currently, I am in my third year of BA at Les beaux Arts of Paris ; where the French literary level is very high and sustained. In other words, I'll be very comfortable in both language to give you the clearest French lessons and to support you all along throughout the learning path you're taking!
