I am an experienced maths tutor based in Glasgow. I received my maths degree from the University of Glasgow and have tutored and range of age groups from primary school age, through to high school and also undergraduate. I am passionate about learning and believe that learning is about enjoyment and practicality. I enjoy helping people succeed and ultimately seeing people become more confident within themselves. I have a honours degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Glasgow with a particular specialisation in applied mathematics and am currently working towards my second degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Stirling.

Hi, I’m Amaan—a 4th-year medical student at Keele with a passion for teaching. I specialise in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and A-Level. With years of experience tutoring students and mentoring peers, I focus on building confidence, understanding, and results. My approach is patient, structured, and tailored to each child’s learning style. Whether your child is aiming for top grades or needs extra support, I’ll help them achieve their full potential. I passed the 11+ and attended King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon, where I achieved straight A* grades in A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I also earned strong GCSEs with grades 7–9 across all subjects. I’m currently in my 4th year studying Medicine at Keele University, where I’ve continued to develop both my academic and teaching abilities. My subject specialisms are Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and A-Level. I focus on building strong foundations, making complex topics more accessible, and improving exam technique to boost confidence and grades. I’ve supported students across a range of abilities—from those aiming for top grades to those needing tailored help to catch up. In addition, I mentor fellow medical students and the year below at university, and I offer guidance for medical school applications, including personal statements and interview prep. Outside academics, I am an optimistic, sporty individual. I have been playing American football for 6 years and counting, having the opportunity to represent Great Britain under 19s against Italy and France, and currently being on the adult roster to potentially play against Georgia and Spain. With such experiences, I volunteer frequently with my local club, London Blitz, and at Warwick University, which consists of mentoring and coaching, supplying me with the confidence to know I am capable of teaching individuals of all backgrounds, what I know. I find it very rewarding to be able to witness progression, knowing you played a role, and seeing how meaningful it can be for people. My education has predominantly focused on numbers, mathematics, science, and their applied usage, leading to the great opportunity of studying a Master of Engineering at the University of Warwick. During my 4 years here, I maintained a 2:1 grade while juggling sporting commitments. This degree enabled me to develop many skills and deepen my knowledge of the engineering industry, which makes me confident to tutor GCSE and A-level Mathematics and Physics. Before university, at GCSE and A-levels, I went to a local state school and managed to achieve a 9-9 in combined science and an 8 in mathematics at the GCSE level. At A-levels, I attained A*AAB in Mathematics, AS Further Mathematics, Physics, and Economics respectively, which was one of the best in the entire year.

I am a free thinker , love to teach science and learn new things. I have a flexible style of teaching that can cater to all students and their abilities. In my 15 years of teaching experience I could build good relations with my students. I would like to explore the new technologies and applications in teaching process and can motivate the students.
