I'm Hannah and I'm a tutor for anyone between the ages of 4 to 16. I specialise in teaching primary school Maths, English and Literacy to children following the UK or Scottish curriculum but have taught a variety of others! I use lots of different methods to help you learn, which are personalised to what you need. I love learning through talking, which is why I love learning foreign languages and travelling! I also like being outside and I think hands-on learning is the best! I currently am studying for my MA in Education. I have received three As in Advanced Highers (equivalent to first year university level) in Maths, Spanish and Scottish Gaelic. I have received seven As in Highers (equivalent to AS levels) in Maths, English, History, Chemistry, Spanish, French and Scottish Gaelic.

Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Furthermore, I have also done mentoring before in school, where I was teaching maths to a GCSE student, and this also enabled my skills to improve and gave me more experience of teaching.

I am Miriam Hajj, a 23-year-old dedicated medical student with a strong passion for education. I aspire to become an expert medical doctor and ultimately a university professor, where I can guide and inspire students to achieve their academic goals in the most effective and supportive manner. I firmly believe that education is not merely a requirement, but a pathway for personal and intellectual growth. I have been tutoring for approximately seven years, since I was in college, supporting students across various levels, including GCSE and A-Level. I have also worked in different educational centres, particularly with students who had failed their national exams. I organized intensive one-month courses focusing on biology, chemistry, math and physics, and I am proud to say that almost all of my students successfully passed their exams. I have also tutored students preparing for the DELF exam for those aspiring to study in France. During medical school, I further honed my tutoring skills by organizing intensive three-month sessions for students preparing for medical and engineering school entrance exams. This rigorous foundation was complemented by 9 biology courses, encompassing topics such as histology, cytology, botany, genetics, anatomy, vegetal reproduction, animal reproduction , geology and embryology. The path to medical school proved highly competitive. I successfully navigated the demanding pre-medical program, which included a rigorous first year with a challenging curriculum. I then successfully competed in the highly selective medical school entrance examination, facing fierce competition from over 1000 applicants for only 100 places. The examination comprised rigorous written tests in all subjects, including a crucial English and French language proficiency test. I am proud to have secured 50th place. I am currently in my fifth year of medical school, eagerly anticipating the commencement of my hospital internship in the coming months.

Hello! I am currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Bath. My main pastimes include hiking/camping, going to the gym, and running, so I do hope that I can relate to many of you! For me, tutoring is developing a clear understanding of subject knowledge instead of regurgitation of facts; learning should be to question and to think critically rather than to memorise. With me as a tutor, you can expect to gain a deep insight into your subject and acquire the ability to excel in your exams. I attended Swanmore College Of Technology where I studied 10 GCSE's achieving 5 9's in (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Enterprise and marketing and English literature)- 4 8's ( Maths, Computer science, English language and History) 1 7 ( Further maths). In my A- levels I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, an A in Physics and an A* in an extended project qualification for which I did extensive research in quantum mechanics and furthered my understanding of the double slit experiment exponentially (in both the quantum and classical realm). Currently I am a first year undergraduate at the University Of Bath studying Theoretical Physics.
