My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths. Whether I'm doing cryptic crosswords or sudokus, I believe that challenging your brain is the most entertaining activity. I am currently attending Newcastle University studying Accounting and Finance. I completed my A-levels at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, where I achieved ABB. I completed my GCSEs at The Blyth Academy, where I achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s.

Hi! I am an academically passionate tutor with A* A* A at A-level in English Literature, Biology, and History, and I am currently studying Law with Politics at degree level. I have over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with 11+ and GCSE students. I also have specific experience helping students who were previously struggling or underperforming to move from failing grades to top grades - not just passing - through clear, structured, and targeted teaching. Education History: I passed the 11+ in 2017 and attended the highly selective Pate’s Grammar School (2018–2025). I achieved 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, and 2 Grade 7s at GCSE (2023), followed by A* A* A at A-level (2025) in English Literature, Biology, and History. I am currently studying Law with Politics at undergraduate level, continuing to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and written communication skills. Experience: Alongside my academic studies, I have developed over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have worked with 11+ students as well as GCSE learners, helping students build confidence, improve exam technique, and achieve strong academic progress. My students have all performed successfully in 11+ exams, and have achieved 7s, 8s, and 9s at GCSE level. In addition, I have held leadership and mentoring roles, including supporting younger students with literacy, reading comprehension and maths (Year 4 - Year 7) and working with children in youth and classroom settings through volunteering roles and placements. This has given me experience working with a wide range of learners, including those with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, and adapting my approach to meet individual needs. Hi! I’m currently studying a maths engineering degree at university and I can’t wait to use the skills I’ve learned to help students with maths and science. I understand what it’s like to struggle with a STEM subject, so I approach my tutoring from a place of patience and sympathy. When a student doesn’t understand a concept, I focus on finding out exactly what piece of the puzzle they are missing, and will re-explain the idea in a way that works for them, as everyone learns differently! For secondary school I attended South Hampstead High School and took my GCSE’s and A Levels there. For my GCSEs I received a nine in maths, English literature , all three sciences, geography and computer science, and an eight in French, art and English Language. For my A levels I received an A star in maths, further maths and physics, and an A in computer science. Currently I’m loving studying an Engineering Mathematics degree at the University of Bristol and I just completed my first year. I’m set to do an integrated masters there as well.

Hello, my name is Sokhna, and I am a forensic psychology graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a strong passion for helping others. I currently work as a SEN Teaching Assistant, mainly working with KS3. I provide engaging and supportive lessons tailored to each student's individual needs. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction books and outdoor activities like hiking and netball. I am a graduate of the University of Portsmouth with a 2:1 in forensic psychology, which allowed me to deepen my foundational knowledge of psychology while learning more subject-specific skills. At Alevels I studied psychology (B), sociology (A) , philosophy and ethics (C) At the Crypt Grammar school. and for earlier education I achieved a range of GCSEs (ranging from grade 6-8) between 9 subjects.
