I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. Hi! My name is Mariyah, a friendly and dedicated Maths tutor currently on my gap year after completing my A-levels. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and reach their full potential in both GCSE Maths and 11+ preparation. Having recently been through the exam process myself, I understand how to explain topics clearly, boost exam technique, and make lessons engaging and approachable. Hello! My name is Joanne and I'm currently studying Spanish and German at UCD Dublin. I can speak 5 languages: English, Irish, German, Spanish and Italian. I love playing camogie and Gaelic football and enjoy baking, cooking and watching movies. I can tutor ordinary and higher level German and Spanish for both GCSE (junior certificate) and A level (Leaving certificate). I have about 5 years of experience in tutoring. I've been tutoring maths since 2020 to junior certificate students and I began tutoring Spanish in 2022 to leaving certificate students. I sat my leaving certificate examinations in 2020 and received 554 points. I achieved a H1 in Spanish and German. I'm currently a Spanish and German student at UCD Dublin and I went on Erasmus in Valladolid, Spain last year. I have a TEFL certification (teaching English as a foreign language) which has allowed me to work and live in Spain, teaching English to both adults and children from beginner to advanced levels.
