Hello! I’m Jezer Cornejo, a TEFL-certified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. I have two years of experience teaching Mathematics to elementary and high school students. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and goal-oriented. I enjoy using interactive activities and real-world examples to make learning fun and practical. Outside of teaching, I love watching sports and once worked as a sports writer in my university’s student publication. This passion for communication and storytelling inspires me to bring energy and creativity into every lesson. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Philippine Normal University - North Luzon, where I developed strong foundations in teaching and communication. The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics.
