I’m Akosua, a Chemical Engineering student who enjoys understanding how things work and finding new ideas to explore. I’m naturally calm and steady, and I like taking my time to think things through. People often describe me as approachable and easy to talk to, and I enjoy creating a positive atmosphere wherever I am. My experience in customer service and child supervision has helped me grow into someone who communicates clearly, listens well, and stays patient even when things get busy. I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence.
