Hi! My name is sharmin, I am currently studying Medicine in Manchester and have worked with students of a wide range of ages and requirements. I personally thrive off learning and am a dedicated tutor who understands how important it is to provide students with unique and tailored support to help them not only achieve their study goals but also actively enjoy the learning process. Having faced my own challenging exams, I know what is needed to build up strong study habits and maintain motivation especially when encountering complex study concepts. Whether you are looking for that added boost on your grades, or wanting to deepen your understanding, or just need a hand getting 'unstuck' , I'm here to help you in any way ! I am currently about to enter my third year of degree in Medicine at the University of Manchester where I have built up a strong understanding of the sciences particularly Chemistry and Biology as well as application skills. I completed my GCSEs and A levels in Greater Manchester as well with the latter being during the COVID pandemic. In my degree I have spent a lot of time as a peer tutor to people in my class and students in the years of the degree below me in teaching societies. Alongside this I have also tutored students in English Language and Literature GCSE previously as I have always enjoyed the subject and volunteered as a tutor for students in Year 5-6 looking for additional support in their SATs exams.

Since joining GoStudent back in April 2023, I’ve had the incredible privilege of tutoring for over two years — and what a journey it has been! In that time, I’ve not only grown as a teacher but also as a communicator, motivator, and lifelong learner. My lessons are anything but “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage outside-the-box thinking, and make learning genuinely enjoyable. I love giving students (and their families) the chance to shape the direction of our lessons — because when learning feels personal, progress happens naturally. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching students go from “I can’t” to “I can.” Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or simply rediscovering a love for learning, I’m here to celebrate every step forward and keep that momentum going. I studied at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am currently preparing to sit my final MPharm exams following a recent gap period. In October 2022, I proudly graduated with a First-Class MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies, a course that challenged me academically while also sparking my curiosity for problem-solving and research. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that learning should be creative and enjoyable. That’s why you’ll often find me making colourful, artsy study notes (which are slowly turning into a revision blog!), or bringing a creative twist into my lessons to help tricky concepts click. My education hasn’t just been about exams and grades — it’s also taught me how to stay curious, resilient, and open-minded, and I try to pass that on to every student I work with.

Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

M(Eng) Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham with A levels in Physics, Maths and Chemistry, achieving 9s and 8s in 8 GCSEs.I enjoy helping students build confidence in STEM subjects through clear explanations and practical problem-solving. I am currently studying for an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, where I am developing a strong foundation in engineering principles, problem solving, and practical design skills. My course covers areas such as mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing, alongside project based learning and teamwork. Prior to university, I completed my GCSEs and A Levels at Abbot Beyne School in Burton upon Trent, where I built a solid academic base in mathematics and science and developed an early interest in engineering and how mechanical systems work.
