Hi, I’m Amaan—a 4th-year medical student at Keele with a passion for teaching. I specialise in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and A-Level. With years of experience tutoring students and mentoring peers, I focus on building confidence, understanding, and results. I passed the 11+ and attended King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon, where I achieved straight A* grades in A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I also earned strong GCSEs with grades 7–9 across all subjects. I’m currently in my 4th year studying Medicine at Keele University, where I’ve continued to develop both my academic and teaching abilities. My subject specialisms are Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at GCSE and A-Level. I focus on building strong foundations, making complex topics more accessible, and improving exam technique to boost confidence and grades. I’ve supported students across a range of abilities—from those aiming for top grades to those needing tailored help to catch up. In addition, I mentor fellow medical students and the year below at university, and I offer guidance for medical school applications, including personal statements and interview prep. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for teaching and supporting children in their academic development. I enjoy working with students of all ages, from primary school through to A-level, and I take great pride in helping learners build confidence and achieve their academic potential. Alongside my academic background, I have a wide range of interests, including playing sports and cooking different recipes, which I enjoy in my free time. I am also multilingual and can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently, allowing me to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds. I have valuable teaching experience, having previously run my own private tuition sessions for primary school children, primarily focusing on English. I am currently expanding this to include secondary school students as well. I tutor primary school students in both Maths and English, GCSE students in English Language and English Literature, and A-level students in Finance. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to improve and succeed. In addition to tutoring, I have worked in a primary school where I provided one-to-one support for SEN (Special Educational Needs) students, assisting them with their learning and development. This experience has given me valuable insight into different learning styles and classroom approaches, helping me tailor my tutoring to meet the individual needs of each student. Currently, in my full-time job, I work as an Alternative Provision Tutor, where I tutor students with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis. I teach them English, Maths, and Science (the ages range from primary up to secondary school). Alongside helping them academically, I also mentor them, encouraging them to keep a positive attitude, in the hopes of getting them back into education fully (within a school environment). Teaching is something I have always been passionate about from a young age. I strongly believe in the importance of education in shaping a child’s future, and I am committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential. I hope to continue inspiring and guiding students through their academic journeys while also progressing within my own professional career in finance. Academically, I achieved a Grade 8 in English Literature and a Grade 6 in English Language at GCSE level. I also studied Finance at A-level, achieving an A*, which reflects my strong interest and ability in the subject. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of East London in 2024, graduating with First Class Honours. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and analytical skills essential for a successful career in finance. Following my degree, I also completed a postgraduate course related to Accounting and Finance, achieving a Pass with Distinction. This has further strengthened my knowledge and reinforced my ambition to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant in the future.

But I have 3+ years of tutoring experience so I know how to help you unlock your greatest potential, by providing you with 1-2-1 tutoring, resources, practice questions and exam tips + tricks, whilst simultaneously providing a tailored learning experience best suited to you and your learning style. As a student who is also a tutor, I completely understand the school pressure, toxic environments and negativity that surrounds exams and learning, but I’m here to show you that learning is truly fun when you know what you’re doing! Having been in such similar situations myself, I know how frustrating it can be to not yet be able to crack a certain topic, so with my patience, enthusiasm and past experience, and your dedication to want to learn, I believe I can provide you with high quality tutoring so you can ace your exams, and become more comfortable with difficult topics! My past experience: - I have been tutoring chemistry and biology for 3 years, with 90% of my students achieving A/A* - Held and ran group study sessions (at school and at university!) - Student, so I know the best resources, websites, tips and tricks to help you knuckle down topics like organic chemistry I achieved all 9s in my GCSEs, and 3 A* in my A-Levels studying Chemistry, Biology and Geography. I attended the University of Nottingham, graduating July 2026 and on-track for a first class! During my time, I studied Natural Sciences for my Bachelor's Degree and Chemistry for my Master's Degree.
