Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. I'm currently studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at the University of Leeds, building on my A-levels in Maths, Economics, and History. I’ve always had a passion for understanding how the world works—whether through economic systems, political structures, or philosophical thought. Outside of my academic life, I really enjoy teaching and helping others learn. I often spend time tutoring my 13-year-old brother and younger cousins, which has not only strengthened my communication skills but also deepened my own understanding of the subjects I love.
