Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I’d describe myself as calm, composed, and confident—and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks to help others rise to the top of their academics. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching. Hi! I’m a dental student who has a deep love for reading and continuous learning. I find joy in expanding my knowledge and sharing what I have learned with others, as I believe in the power of education and teaching to inspire and empower individuals. Hi, I'm a 2nd year UCL medical student! For years now, I’ve mentored & tutored both GCSE and A-level biology for multiple specifications, as well as Chemistry, Maths, Geography, and English Language. I attended a girls grammar school, and also tutor the 11 plus exams! As someone who took and passed both CEM and GL 11 plus exams, I am happy to help with any. Also have engaged with science outside of school, completing a Women in STEM course run by the University of Oxford, and completing wider reading. I attended a Girls Grammar School until year 13, and am currently going into my second year at UCL medical school.
