Sam is a great maths tutor – patient and supportive. My son is getting ready for his GCSE’s and never really liked the subject before, but now enjoys his lessons. Sam’s classes are well-structured, engaging, and tailored to his needs. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my son’s understanding and confidence thanks to Sam’s guidance. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a tutor!

I've gone up 2 grades since working with Sam so I would say he's doing a good job. Plus he's nice to me when I say some diabolical answers to him which is a bonus.

GCSE Maths & Chemistry | UCL Graduate | English · Mandarin · Cantonese 80% of my students achieve grade 7 or above. If you're looking for results, you're in the right place. I'm a UCL graduate specialising exclusively in GCSE Maths and Chemistry — two subjects I know inside out, including every exam board trick and mark scheme trap students fall into. I also teach in Mandarin and Cantonese. If your child grasps concepts faster in their first language, that's never a problem here. Before tutoring full-time, I worked in a SEN school — so I genuinely know how to adapt to different learners. Not every student thinks the same way, and I don't teach the same way twice. Every lesson includes: A tailored approach based on your child's specific gaps Clear explanations — no jargon, no condescension A recap summary sent after each session Regular, honest progress updates for parents Whether your child is aiming to push from a 5 to a 7, or just needs to finally get the topic that's been confusing them all year — let's make it happen. Bachelor's in Psychology from UCL. Master's in Behavioural Economics from the University of Warwick. Both degrees are highly quantitative, building strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Specialising in GCSE Maths and Chemistry. Additional experience teaching in a SEN school, adapting lessons to diverse learning needs.

Hi, I’m Jeane! I’m a passionate English teacher who loves helping students connect with literature and language in fun and creative ways. I strive to make learning exciting with lively discussions, role-playing, and fun activities, all while sparking curiosity and building confidence in my students. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me watching movies on Netflix and making sure I hit my 10,000 steps every day, which keeps me energized and motivated throughout the day. I am a Physical Therapy graduate and have completed a Teaching & Demo course with New York Universities as an international student. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in teaching strategies, language, and literature. Through my studies, I developed the ability to design well-structured lessons that cater to individual students’ needs. After finishing my TEFL course and got certified, I gained experience in creating engaging activities and incorporating real-world examples to enhance student comprehension and make an interactive, enjoyable learning experience.

Hi! I’m Antrea, a Product Design Engineering student at Loughborough University with a strong passion for maths and problem-solving. I enjoy supporting GCSE students in building confidence, improving their skills, and reaching their full potential. My lessons are friendly, clear, and tailored to each student’s learning style, helping to make even the toughest topics feel more manageable. I’m committed to creating an encouraging environment where students can succeed and feel proud of their progress. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering at Loughborough University. I have graduated high school with a 19.9/20 Apolytyrion Certificate, in the following subjects: Maths, (Mechanics, A-Level) Physics, (A-Level), Design and Technology (A-Level), Geography (AS-Level) and Greek (Native, A-Level), Art, Craft and Design (A-Level). In all these subjects I achieved an A, with an A* in Art and Greek. I have experience sharing knowledge, organising meetings and lessons since founding and forming my high school's Engineering Club, which I was also president of.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.
