Hey there my names Ben! I'm passionate about maths and science who loves to help those tricky concepts click for students. With my background in maths, physics and chemistry, plus years of helping students in their studied, I've discovered that learning happens best when it's engaging and applied to the real world. I specialise in tutoring maths, chemistry (physical, inorganic and organic), and physics (focus on classical and quantum mechanics) up to A-level equivalent standards. People say I have a knack for explaining complex ideas simply, and I take pride in watching people's confidence grow alongside grades. I tailor my approach for each individual student because everyone learns differently, and I'm all about building understanding rather than memorization. I did my undergraduate degree at University College London, I achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Natural Sciencies, specialising in Physical Chemistry, Maths and Statistics. After a few months research in academia (Machine Learning Materials Science Research) and 2 years working in industry as a Data Scientist I have returned to education to undertake an MPhil in Scientific Computing at the University of Cambridge. I am hopeful to achieve a Distinction in this course and apply my skills and knowledge in the computational drug discovery/medical fields.

I am a third year medical student at Imperial College London, who also attended Queen Elizabeth's Boys' School. Whilst being a student, who's done his 11+, GCSEs and A-levels, I had to came up with new techniques to try and break down complex topics into smaller and simpler topics. I would love to pass on this knowledge, that I have gained through my experiences, onto younger students who are currently going through the processes that I did. My teaching style consists of seeing how each individual student learns best and then gearing my lessons towards their particular strengths to make learning as easy and fun as possible.
