Hello, my name is Lorenzo and I am an Italian mathematician. I have been a university lecturer of maths at the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Rome Sapienza for 4 academic years. I have worked at an international college school in Rome (courses fully taught in English language) as a teacher of maths and physics for students of years 10 and 11, following UK Cambridge curriculum and preparing them for the IGCSE exam. Here on Gostudent, so far I have helped tens of students to face Edexcel or AQA advanced maths exams. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching.
