Hi! I’m Erin, a 20 year old full time University student studying a masters degree in Astrophysics at the University of Birmingham. I love musicals and performing with my accapella group at uni. I also do a lot of running and love playing ice hockey. I attended Aquinas College, Stockport. Here I obtained an A* in A-level Physics and an A in A-level Chemistry and Maths. I also have 10 GCSEs, with a 9 in Physics, Biology and Food Preparation and Technology, along with 8/7 in all other subjects. Last summer I spent a week completing work experience as a Scientific Communicator at Kielder Observatory, where I helped out and led events teaching all about space to the public. Finally, I have spent the last year tutoring a GCSE student in Higher Separate Physics and Higher Mathematics.

Hi, my name is Aoife, I am 18 years old and currently a first year law student at the University of Leeds (and an aspiring human rights lawyer!). My special subject is English, primarily English literature. My highest academic achievements are my 3 A levels (A* in politics, A in history, B in English literature). I am willing to tutor the English subject to year groups 9-11 in secondary as I believe this is when that extra boost in confidence is so important! My passion for English is reflected in my GCSE grades too - achieving a grade 9 in English language and grade 8 in English literature. I have previous experience with children with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD, shaping my teaching style as one of patience and prioritising clarity without exerting pressure on a student. I personally struggled with confidence in both primary and secondary school, and going through tutoring myself helped with this enormously.
