Hi, my name's Roshini! I am a final year medical student and I have experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Science. I am passionate about helping students succeed and helping them enjoy the learning process. I work well with students of varying levels of ability and am committed to enhancing a student's capability to the fullest extent. Currently, I am in my fifth year of studying medicine after having done my schooling at The Henrietta Barnett School. I achieved 8A*and 2As in my GCSEs and have a good foundation and understanding of GCSE topics. I use a combination of resources, including my own study materials and exam style questions to ensure students have consolidated their knowledge of topics. After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. After A Bachelor of Arts in History and English, at Wits University in Johannesburg in 1984, I did a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education, in English and History. I then taught in London and South Africa for nine years, during which time I qualified with a Bachelor of Education in Applied Linguistics, from Wits University. In 1998, my family and I went to Vancouver, British Columbia, for me to study a Masters Degree in Theology. We returned to SA in 2002. In 2016, I graduated with a PhD in History, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am currently enrolled for my TTA TEFL certificate, Level 5, to qualify and teach EFL, from April 2025.
