I teach English Literature and English Language to GCSE aged students. I also teach English as a foreign language to both children and adults. I teach Philosophy, Ethics, and Religious Studies up to GCSE level. I teach English to French students and can speak conversational French to aid this. I tutor students working towards their IELTS qualification. I have a Masters in Mental and Moral Science (Philosophy) from Trinity College, Dublin and am looking to further my formal education in the coming years aside from the countless MOOCs I've taken ranging from Opera to Counter-Terrorism classes. I enjoy Creative Writing and am always penning stories or poetry. Hi! My name is Mia and I’m currently a student at Univerista Bocconi In Milan, studying Economics and Finance. I was born in London, and grew up there and also spent 7 years in Abu Dhabi. My hobbies include travelling and playing netball and of course relaxing with my friends. I attended Brighton College Abu Dhabi for majority of my high school and finished my last 2 years of education at Latymer Upper School in London where I did A levels. I took maths, physics and economics alongside completing an Extended Project Qualification on whether unpaid (household) labour should be recognized within GDP, earning a merit! I received an excellence award for all A**'s in my GCSE's from edexcel and have had loads of experience tutoring GCSE's and Levels given I didn't do them long ago.

About me: I am completing my Physics degree at the University of Manchester and used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions at school, which inspired me to pursue a career as a scientist. One of my hobbies is astronomy, especially stargazing and tracking meteors during meteor showers. Still, my true passion is to make knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and use science to make the world a slightly better place. I graduated from one of the most elite high schools in my home country, which focused on Maths and Computer science. I used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions and olympiads, where I was one of the top-performing students. Before I studied Physics, I studied Architecture for two years at the same university - I wanted to try something different, since I love arts and see myself as a very creative person, but realised that science was my true passion and switched to Physics, where you find me now. I have worked several part-time jobs and completed several internships to support myself alongside my studies. These include an internship as a civil servant, part of the Government Operational Research Service, and the National Teaching Internship Programme, provided by the Department of Education. The teaching internship involved teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics to students between years 7 and 12 in a few local schools and colleges. This experience helped me realise how much I enjoy teaching, fostering critical thinking skills in others, and guiding them towards discovering their passions. It also taught me how inclusive and expansive science can be and how crucial education is.
