Hi, My name is Ade. I enjoy seeing people thrive and develop in any way, shape or form. I enjoy making a difference. I’m someone who’s deeply passionate about personal growth and helping others reach their full potential. I have a solid educational background, which has provided me with valuable insights and knowledge. Alongside my academic achievements, I’m also dedicated to fitness and regularly attend the gym to maintain both my physical and mental well-being. I believe that self-improvement extends beyond the gym – it’s about empowering others to enhance their lives, whether through motivation, guidance, or simply offering a supportive hand when needed. I have a strong academic foundation, holding a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, this has not only provided me with in-depth knowledge of design, Mathematics, and creative problem-solving, but also a deep appreciation for the intersection of Art, English, Science, and functionality. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a passion for education and a love for helping others reach their potential. In addition to my degree, I have gained valuable experience working as a Teaching Assistant across a variety of subjects, such as English and Science including Mathematics. My role as a Maths TA allowed me to assist students with complex concepts, fostering an environment where they could confidently grasp challenging material. I have also worked as a TA for other subjects as mentioned, where I supported students with learning difficulties, provided additional help during lessons, and guided individuals in areas where they needed extra assistance. This experience has allowed me to cultivate patience, communication skills, and a genuine desire to help others improve academically. I find great satisfaction in seeing students progress and develop their skills, and I continue to be inspired by the positive impact education has on people's lives. I would say that I specialise in Maths and Science as subjects.

Hi, my name is Jaismeen and I am currently studying Aerospace Engineering. I tutor Maths, Physics and Spanish, and I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a clear, structured and encouraging way. My teaching style is patient and flexible. I like to break topics down step by step, check understanding regularly, and adapt my explanations depending on how the student learns best. If one method does not work, I try another approach, such as visual examples, real-life situations, practice questions or simpler explanations. I have previous experience tutoring children during summer breaks in my hometown, as well as experience babysitting and volunteering in local activities involving children and young people. These experiences helped me become organised, calm, responsible and supportive. As an Aerospace Engineering student, I have a strong background in Maths and Physics, and as a multilingual speaker, I also feel confident supporting students with Spanish. My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence, improve step by step, and feel comfortable asking questions. In my free time, I enjoy science, space, reading, writing, drawing, video games, hiking and learning new skills. I like bringing creativity and curiosity into my lessons so students can feel more engaged and motivated. I am currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Manchester, where I continue to develop a strong academic background in Maths, Physics, problem-solving and technical subjects. I completed my previous education in Spain, from P3 through to Bachillerato, which is equivalent to A-levels. During Bachillerato, my main subjects included Maths, Physics, Industrial Technology and Technical Drawing, as well as Spanish, English and Catalan. I also studied broader subjects such as literature, philosophy and history of philosophy, which helped me develop strong communication and writing skills alongside my STEM background. I have a Cambridge English certificate at B2 level, which gave me access to study in English at university, and I am multilingual. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Punjabi and Hindi, and I also studied French for three years at a basic level. My main specialisations are Maths, Physics and Spanish. I am especially confident explaining STEM topics clearly because I have studied them academically and also applied them practically. For example, while working in a local hardware store, I helped with tasks such as building and fixing appliances, making keys, and programming electric keys/controllers, which strengthened my practical understanding of technology and problem-solving. Outside of school, I have also taken part in robotics activities and I am involved in robotics at university. I have done theatre and participated in creative competitions, including creative writing, story writing, drawing and spelling bee competitions, which helped me become confident, creative and clear when communicating ideas.

Currently studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield, I am a dedicated Maths and Physics tutor, with around an 2-3 years total experience in person and online, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades. My approach combines the structured discipline of established learning centres, such as Kumon (where I was a tutor for more than 2 years) and the flexible touch of indepedent 1 on 1 tutoring. I achieved a Grade 9 in Maths and all Sciences in my GCSEs and got an A in Physics at A level. I have also had experience tutoring 11+ briefly, and have passed the 11+ myself in 2017. As a student who completed his GCSE exams 3 years ago, I can provide tailored advice and the most up-to-date tips and tricks to help students flourish and achieve top marks. I went to a selective state-grammar school based on 11+ scores called Lawrence Sheriff School for all of my secondary school years and 6th form. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels here achieving almost all A*/A scores in every subject. Currently, I am at University studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.
