Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system. English is more formulaic than you think, and I can't wait to show you how to ace it all. I'm passionate about drama, cooking and poetry and my favourite book is the Great Gatsby! Whether it's simple conversation, grammar exercises, comprehension, writing, reading or pronunciation. I will work with you to improve your French the best way possible. I can also help with homework or GCSE preparation ! However, you will see that studying with me is not like school. I don't do notation system. What's important for me is to relax the student so that he wants to try to express without being afraid of making a mistake. I am an energetic, passionate young academic with a Bachelors in Arts and an ongoing Masters in Literature, Languages and Cultures department. I have been tutoring for 3 years now and have experience in language tutorship. With my passion for English language and literature, I am sure I could assist any student on the path towards their goals! I currently attend university, studying law and economics as a joint honours degree. As well as this, I am an avid athlete, playing netball, swimming and doing athletics as well. I have completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all 8/7s for all my subjects as well as completing my A-Levels, which consisted of Maths, Economics and Chemistry achieving two A's (Maths and Chemistry) as well as a B (Economics).
