Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I'm open-minded and firmly believe there is no such thing as a person who can't be taught. Each student is different from the next and all anyone really needs is the right kind of guidance. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.

During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! I’m a 20 year old dental student studying in Bulgaria. I’ve taught students in the past, mainly during their GCSEs and A Levels, and I’m really excited to start teaching again. I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn because not only does it allow me to support students in building their confidence and understanding but it also strengthens my own knowledge. Outside of teaching, I love baking, painting, and playing sports like badminton :) I attended Nower Hill High School for both GCSEs and A-Levels. For GCSEs I achieved grades 9, 8, 8 in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively. For A-levels I achieved grades AAB in Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively. I am currently studying dental medicine at the Medical University of Sofia. I have tutored students in the past during both their GCSE and A-Levels.
