I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

Hi! I’m a gap year student who has a deep love for reading and continuous learning. I find joy in expanding my knowledge and sharing what I have learned with others, as I believe in the power of education and teaching to inspire and empower individuals. So here I am, offering tutoring in Alevel Maths, Chemistry and Biology and GCSE Maths. A-Levels: Chemistry (A*), Further Maths AS (A), Maths (A) and Biology (A). GCSE’s: 7 9’s, 2 8’s and a 7. I’ve partaken in Maths Olympiads and gained a full scholarship to take a 5-day Clinical Skills and Medical Research Course with Biograd Education.

I am a qualified and experienced science teacher specialising in Biology, with a proven record of delivering results with classes at GCSE and A-level. helping students build confidence, master complex concepts, and achieve their academic goals. I will provide personalised and engaging lessons to facilitate and support your learning. I attended Westcliff High School for boys at secondary school, achieving the following results: 12 A*-A grades including Maths & English, with A*'s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I attended the same school for my A-levels and achieved the following results: Biology (A), Religious Education (A), English Literature (B), Chemistry (B). Further to this, I also achieved an AS Level Qualifications in Critical Thinking (C). Following this, I attended the University of Bristol and studied Biology for my undergraduate degree. I achieved a BCs in Biology with a 2:1 grade. After this, I started working as an instructor and teaching science full time. I worked as a teacher of science at a secondary school for just over three academic year and during the time I attended the university of Buckingham and completed my PGCE to become a qualified teacher. Further to this I also have other experience in coaching and mentoring roles. In 2016, I volunteered for 6 weeks in a primary school in Accra, Ghana. My primary role was teaching English to students, but as a level 1 qualified rugby coach, I helped introduce organised sport in the school. I have also obtained my Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and prior to and during university I worked as a personal trainer. In August 2023 I left my post as a teacher of science and I served a a production manager before being promoted to Head of Production at an event management company, overseeing a team of eight and managing large-scale projects.

I graduated from Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education, majoring in English. I’m also TEFL certified and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. My education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to teach effectively, and I continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methodologies and best practices. My background in journalism further enhances my ability to communicate concepts clearly and creatively.
