Passionate about chemistry and helping students achieve their potential and beyond. I am a young teacher, with a vast knowledge of chemistry at the KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. This is evidenced by my A grade at both GCSE, and A level. I place a large emphasis on breaking critical concepts down, ensuring students have a sound understanding of foundational aspects of chemistry- which will then allow them to tackle more difficult subject topics. All of my teaching is relevant to the exam board in question, and there is also a large focus on exam technique to ensure you're hitting those top marks! In terms of my hobbies, I love going to the gym, playing sports such as badminton and kickboxing, reading, and playing Call of Duty. Teaching is a passion that allows me to combine my love for learning with my desire to help others succeed. There's something deeply rewarding about watching a student grasp a new concept or gain confidence in their abilities. For me, teaching isn't just about delivering information; it’s about creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel inspired to explore, ask questions, and challenge themselves. One of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's life. I completed my General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) in the United Kingdom, where I laid the foundation for my academic journey. Subsequently, I pursued my A-levels, advancing my knowledge in specific subjects and preparing for higher education. Currently, I am enrolled in university, where I am actively engaged in furthering my education. This stage of my academic journey has provided me with opportunities to delve deeper into my chosen field of study, contributing to my overall growth and development. I am a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong passion for helping students progress and reach their full potential. With over 2 years of experience working with students of all ages, I enjoy taking on new challenges, setting goals, and creating a supportive environment where learners feel confident and engaged. Outside of tutoring, I love doing henna art, reading crime thriller books, and spending quality time in social activities with family and friends. Building on strong academic performance, I am currently pursuing my studies with a globally recognised professional accounting body. Alongside my education, I have achieved several qualifications and gained 2 years of diverse training and practical experience in my field. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Limpopo, where I majored in Computer Science and Mathematics. To enhance my teaching capabilities, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. I am registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and uphold the professional standards and ethical conduct expected within the teaching profession. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a deep appreciation for the power of education and technology in shaping young minds. I have served as an End User Computer Technician, where I gained valuable experience in ICT systems and user support. My teaching experience includes working as a Mathematics tutor for first-year students at the University of Limpopo, teaching Mathematics to Grades 8 and 9 learners, and currently teaching Mathematical Literacy to Grade 11 learners. I approach my work with commitment, patience, and a continuous desire for improvement. I strive to create a learning environment that fosters curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence among students. My goal is to inspire learners to embrace challenges and recognise the importance of small, consistent efforts in achieving success.
