My undergraduate degree was in History and Politics. I have always been interested in teaching, even when I was in school myself, so this is an excellent opportunity to pass on my knowledge and passion for these subjects. Hi my name is Stuart Smith. I have completed 19 years of successful teaching. I have gained experience of teaching years 7 to 11 Science and several years teaching A levels in Chemistry and Physics. Recently I was an examiner for Cambridge A level Chemistry. I have used my experience to develop a dynamic positive teaching style. Across the academic spectrum students find popular science in the media engaging and I make full use of this. Before coming into teaching I enjoyed many years working in the Shipbuilding Industry. This invaluable experience has enabled me to have knowledge of life outside the classroom and has enabled me to form a more rounded character. This has benefited work as a tutor as well as strengthening my ability as a team player. I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics. I studied BSc Chemistry at The University of Bristol and went on to study a PGCE in Science at The University of Bristol. A large coponent of my degree course included Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics.

I’m a third-year dental student with a passion for teaching. I’ve been tutoring Biology at A-Level and GCSE for over two years, helping students understand complex topics with ease. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym and boxing, always striving for self-improvement—both physically and mentally which i am to provide to my students. I attended George Dixon Academy for secondary school, achieving an 8 in Biology and chemistry at GCSE. I then studied at Birmingham Tuition Centre, earning an A in A-Alevel Chemistry and an A* in A-Level Biology. Currently, I am a third year andDental Medicine at Plovdiv Medical University in Bulgaria.

I have always been passionate about teaching Chemistry, Psychology, and Biology, and I have been tutoring these subjects for over a year. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness students grow in confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment for subjects they once found challenging. My goal is to continue helping students improve their grades by making learning engaging and accessible. When a subject feels difficult, it can be discouraging to persevere, which is why I strive to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. As a tutor, I believe in adapting my teaching approach to each student’s unique needs, ensuring that they find the subject both approachable and interesting. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: a Grade 9 in Chemistry, 3 Grade 8’s in Physics, Food Preparation and Nutrition and Geography. 3 Grade 7’s in Biology, Maths and German and 3 Grade 6’s in English Literature, English Language and Religion, Psychology and Ethics. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A in Chemistry, an A in Psychology, and an A in Biology.
