Hi I'm Aiesha. I'm currently studying medicine. I am enthusiastic about science and I can help you build confidence in your chosen subject. I cater to every student and do my best to patiently explain so you can get a full understanding to be exam ready. I am looking to tutor students in GCSE Biology, Maths and Physics as well as A level Biology. I am currently in my 1st year studying medicine at Brunel University. I have completed my A-levels in Biology (A), Chemistry (B) and Maths (B). I did 11 GCSEs including Biology (9), Chemistry (9), Physics (8), Maths (8) and Further Maths (7). For A-level I am most familiar with OCR A spec and for GCSE , AQA.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

I achieved a commendable pass rate of over 80% in English. 70% in music and 60% in mathematics. During my secondary and high school years, I informally tutored my classmates, which not only honed my teaching skills but also earned me recognition from my peers and teachers. My music teacher notably remarked on my ability to teach, stating that despite being a learner, I made an excellent teacher. My classmates frequently praised my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, often preferring my explanations to those of their teachers. With three years of experience in a teaching environment, primarily in the Foundation Phase, I am now pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Education at Stadio School of Education in South Africa. Hi! I am Sanjana, an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge with a huge passion to work with students to aid them gain confidence in a wide range of subjects. Having tutored in the past with children aged 4 - 16, I aim to work with the student on an individual level ensuring we work together, at the students own pace and way of learning. Aside from tutoring and study, I love creating in terms of art/design as well as in cooking, walking and listening to music! I attended Tonbridge Grammar School from Year 7 -11 and St Olaves Grammar School for the remainder for sixth-form where I achieved 7 x 9s and 2 A* and A. I am currently studying a BA in Architecture at the University of Cambridge, where I am a full-time student. Previously, I worked as a tutor at explore learning for 1.5 years where I taught students aged 4-16 in english, maths, 11+ and GCSE. I volunteered in primary schools aswell whereby I helped young students in art and crafts as well as english. I also have tutored students privately in art.
