I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students. I attended Southend High School for Girls and completed my GCSEs there. For A levels,I moved to Southend High School for Boys. Currently i am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have about a year of tutoring experience from beforehand, and i have worked at ExploreLearning for a few months.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, in 2013 and later completed a Master of Education in Mathematics in 2018. With a decade of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full academic potential. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed. My approach focuses on guiding students toward their educational goals, whether transitioning to postsecondary education, pursuing vocational paths, or achieving personal growth. I continuously assess and document both the academic and social progress of my students, maintaining thorough records and analyzing data to inform my teaching strategies. To keep parents and guardians involved, I communicate regularly through multiple channels and hold conferences as needed to discuss individual progress, aligning with school requirements and ensuring a collaborative approach to each student's development.

Hi! I’m Beth, it’s lovely to meet you! I can help you out with maths and science subjects and my aim is to give you the confidence and understanding to do the best that you can in your exams. I will work through difficult areas with you until you are confident and it is no longer anything to worry about. I completed my A-levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths a few years ago and achieved 4 A* grades. Before that, I achieved 11 grade 9s at GCSE, including Further Maths and Triple Science. I’m now doing a degree apprenticeship in Digital Technology Solutions BSc while working as an IT consultant. Some of my hobbies/interests include sailing, dog agility and pilates.

I am a fourth-year medical student with a strong passion for helping others achieve their academic goals. While I was always a relatively capable student, I learned early on that success didn’t come without hard work, sacrifice, and most importantly, support. During a particularly challenging period in my studies, I met a tutor who completely revitalised my passion for learning and helped me reach my potential. That experience shaped who I am today and inspired me to do the same for others. Academically, I achieved three A grades at A Level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and all 9s in GCSE in these subjects. Beyond my own studies, I have two years of tutoring experience, beginning in sixth form, where I supported GCSE students across multiple subjects. One example I am especially proud of is helping a student improve from a grade 5 to a grade 8 in GCSE chemistry, by building their confidence, exam technique, and understanding from first principles. My primary role as a tutor is to help you achieve the grades you need and develop a strong, lasting understanding of your subject. However, I also believe learning works best in a supportive environment - so please think of me not just as a tutor, but as someone approachable and encouraging. I’m always happy to answer questions, offer guidance, and support you every step of the way. I attended a comprehensive school until year 10 and then a grammar school from year 10 all the way until year 13. The amazing learning and experiences in both have shaped me to be the man I am today, and enabled me to achieve the grades I needed in GCSE and A-level to now be studying medicine in my 4th year at Aston University. I have over a year of tutoring experience in the sciences and maths from KS2 all the way until A-level and I racked up many 5 star reviews and gave tailored help to each student I taught. Personal academic achievements include being the 2025 winner of the annual Rosalind Franklin essay competition in Aston Medical School completing 2 summer internships in biomedical research and have several research papers in the works for publication.
