Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Hi! I am a friendly and supportive tutor specialising in Biology A-level/ GCSE, and Chemistry GCSE. I achieved A* AA in these subjects at A level and have experience tutoring students within school. I studied AQA exam boards for Biology and Chemistry, and Edexcel for Maths. My sessions will focus on building confidence and understanding by using past exam questions as examples to highlight key concepts and how to approach them during exams. During the sessions, we will work through topics that you may struggle on together and practice with exam-style questions so you’re fully prepared. The topics we cover will be completely led by you, so that you get the most out of our time together. I am flexible in my teaching style, so if you learn better other ways, for example mind maps, I am more than happy to do this. Between sessions, I will set small tailored tasks to reinforce what we have covered and help revision, which we will then review together. Hello! My name is Mark and I’m a graduate from Northumbria University with a 1st class Physics BSc with honours. I like to focus my sessions on the areas of a subject that you struggle with the most, starting from the beginning and building a strong understanding that you can use in the classroom and your exams. My sessions are pupil-led, where I am there to provide guidance, direction, examples and support. I love physics, especially the topics of space and energy, and I think that a passionate teacher can make even the most difficult subjects more approachable.
