My name is Liezle. I am currently pursuing a career in science as a trainee laboratory assistant within the biochemistry and chemistry fields. Additionally, I’ve run my own business, taught middle school in Asia, and for a few years exercised my creative muscle as a fashion assistant. Anything outdoor involving wine and food with a friend, or a lazy day at the ocean or hanging around in a shopping mall is a good day. I truly love science. I am passionate about learning new things and applying my knowledge to real-world problems. I am always eager to collaborate with others and contribute to the advancement of scientific research, testing and analytical thinking! I am a 3rd year student at the University of South Africa; I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a focus on biochemistry and chemistry. I have also gained valuable experience as a general science educator for a few years, where I taught students within intermediate phase, in the chemistry, physics and biology disciplines. I am also embarking on a one-year laboratory assistant trainee program.

I have a Masters in Creative Writing Oxford University. I've got a 2:1 from University of Sussex in Drama and Film Studies. I've worked with children ranging from 3 months to 18 years, in formal educational settings and at home. I have experience tutoring in English and Creative Writing at Secondary Level, helping students raise their grades one, two or three levels higher at GCSE and achieving top scores at A Level. I also have experience tutoring English, Creative Writing at a Primary Level as well as KS1 Maths. I'm a fun and active individual that likes sports and other physical activities. Just started my second year in my degree apprenticeship in data science with Airbus UK and some of my favourite hobbies include: Basketball, Cricket, movies, travelling and gaming. Attended Broughton Fields primary school when I first moved to the UK in 2011, and then went on to complete my GCSEs and A levels at Oakgrove Secondary School in Milton Keynes. Achieving high grades in both GCSEs and A levels, having done IT, Business and Mathematics in A levels.

I’m a passionate physical science teacher with over six years of classroom experience and a strong presence on online tutoring platforms. I absolutely love what I do, and I care deeply about my student’s success. My classes are highly engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I specialize in breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations that make learning easier and more enjoyable. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students have those “aha!” moments. I later pursued my passion for teaching by earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Witwatersrand. In addition to my academic qualifications, I also hold certificates in Computer Studies as well as Business and Entrepreneurship, which have equipped me with valuable skills beyond the classroom. My diverse educational background allows me to connect scientific knowledge with real-world applications, and it strengthens my ability to deliver engaging, well-rounded lessons to my students.
