Hi! I'm Abbie, a fourth year BSc Biotechnology with Industrial Experience student based in Manchester. I'm looking to tutor GCSE Science and A-Level Biology. Having been a student leader throughout my second year, I have a dedication to supporting and teaching students and will use my knowledge and experiences to ensure you make the most out of your studies. I attended Peter Symonds College, where I studied Biology, Psychology, Chemistry and the Extended Project Qualification (A*/A*/A/A*). I currently attend university in Manchester and specialise in Biotechnology (with interest primarily in genetics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology).

I enjoy watching health documentaries, movies, hanging out with friends and taking long walks at the beach. I am a qualified chiropractor, currently running my own practice in South Africa. I have a masters degree in Chiropractic, which I obtained from the Durban University of Technology. I am also a qualified online English teacher, I obtained my online teaching qualification from the TEFL Academy, UK. I have tutored a lot of students over the past 3 years, helping them learn how to write and understand essays, reports on projects, poems, short stories, assignments and many other academic and English related tasks.

I'm passionate about teaching the younger generation and helping them to understand complex subjects in an easy way. My core strengths are in Maths and Biology and my past experiences stands testimonial to that. On a side note, I am also a singer and a piano player with an immense flair for music. I would like to offer an enjoyable learning experience for children with my easygoing and friendly nature. I aspire to put my skill sets to the best of use to educate and empower young minds. I have a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a master's degree in Regenerative Biology and Medicine from Germany. I have worked as a research and teaching assistant at my university in Germany and I am passionate about teaching. Professionally, I have worked as a math tutor in another online portal for almost four years and thus I have a really good experience tutoring kids in a one-on-one fashion. I studied BSc Neuroscience at the University of Sussex before completing an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mind Body interface at King’s College London, where I achieved a Distinction in my thesis. My studies were highly research‑intensive, giving me strong skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and translating complex scientific ideas into clear, accessible explanations. Throughout my degrees, I developed a deep understanding of cognitive processes, mental health, and evidence‑based learning — all of which shape the way I support students today.
