Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. Hi, I'm Millie! I'm a friendly and dedicated tutor with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology, as well as previous tutoring experience. I enjoy helping students build confidence, overcome challenges and reach their full potential. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Outside of my academic life, I enjoy travelling, exploring the outdoors and going hiking. I'm also a big food lover and enjoy cooking and discovering new places to eat. I love trying new things and making the most of new experiences! I attended grammar school for both secondary school and sixth form, where I studied A-Level Psychology, Biology, Mathematics and completed an EPQ. These subjects helped me develop strong analytical, problem-solving and independent research skills. I went on to study Psychology at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a First-Class Bachelor's degree. I am also currently completing a Master's degree at Liverpool in Forensic Psychology. Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.
