Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.

A Yr13 leaver who studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level. Maths enthusiast engaging within the SMC, achieving Gold, and participated within the Andrew Jobbing's Senior Kangaroo (2024). My enthusiasm for tutoring started from mentoring a student for GCSE (during Yr12). Through my aid and the student’s zeal, the student bumped their grade from Grade 5 (Yr11 Mocks) to achieving Grade 8 (GCSE results day). During sixth form, I belonged to the student mentoring organisation, where I aided a Yr9 student across various subjects, ranging from Biology to RS. I've always enjoyed maths, which inspired me to pursue a degree in Economics and Finance. I adore the logical reasoning underlying these courses and enjoy applying them to real-world situations, particularly in physics. I believe that with the appropriate direction and technique, anyone can thrive in these areas. My teaching technique is based on recognising each student's unique needs and learning style, which helps to make the content more relatable and interesting. By rigorously adhering to the specification and marking schemes, I ensure that students understand exactly what is required to succeed. I am kind, sympathetic, and dedicated to helping students gain confidence through clear explanations and constant practice. My goal is not only to assist students improve their grades, but to make them love the learning process and feel confident in their talents. With a 1st Class degree in Economics and Finance, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. My career includes extensive experience in calculating risk for North American Commercial Real Estate, where I specialised in loan underwriting and corporate expansion as well as underwriting in the digital payments world for EU and British companies.

I am a final-year pharmacy student at the University of East Anglia. Pharmacy has been a career I have always been interested in due to my love for chemistry as a subject as a whole. In terms of tutoring, I have been doing online tutoring for over 2 years now. The subjects I tutor are Maths (GCSE), Chemistry,Biology and Physics (A levels and GCSE). I am a recent graduate from John Ruskin College. At John Ruskin College, I did Chemistry and Biology A levels. I also completed my English and Maths GCSE at John Ruskin College. I also did BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science. During my time at John Ruskin, I was able to attain the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award which was given the student with the best altruism. I am now in my Final year studying Pharmacy at University of East Anglia.
