I am also currently studying to become a full-time English teacher at secondary school level. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick, where I enjoyed the wide range of texts and forms available, from Geoffrey Chaucer and Homer to modern texts dating well into the 21st century. My course covered poetry, novels, plays, films, graphic novels, and short stories across English and American literature. I also completed a film module in my final year, leaving me confident teaching Film Studies as its popularity grows in schools. Half of my degree focused on creative writing, where I particularly enjoyed screenwriting.
