Hi, my name is Alexander Gumbley. I'm a first year at the university of Manchester, studying physics. I love being outdoors and near the sea. Everything from surfing to climbing mountains! I’m a physics enthusiast and I am looking forward to sharing my love of Science! I was a pupil at Caterham senior school where I taught in the Combined Cadet Force for 2 years. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
