Hello ! I'm Sadie, 19 and currently completing an undergraduate degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response in Manchester. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my secondary education in 2025, where I focused on Geography, Religious Studies and Chemistry, and have continued to develop my knowledge and passion for geography through my university course. I have experience supporting younger students with exam preparation, having taken part in a peer coaching scheme for 2 years whilst at school. Through this, I have learned the importance of patience, structure and encouragement in helping students succeed. It also taught me how best to adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs and aim to create a supportive learning environment. In my free time I enjoy reading, travelling and hiking, especially since moving to Manchester where I am now right on the doorstep of the beautiful peak district ! I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and gain confidence in their studies. In 2023, I completed 10 GCSEs at the Cotswold School, Bourton on the Water. I then continued my education with the Cotswold School Sixth Form, completing an AS level in Mathematics in 2024, and 3 A levels in Geography (A), Religious Studies (A) and Chemistry (B) in 2025. I am now in the Process of completing an undergraduate degree in MSC International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response with the University of Manchester, with a predicted graduation in 2028.

My name is Mashika, and I am a civil engineer and a have also worked as a middle school and high school teacher at Villa Grimani International School. I have a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering that I am currently pursuing. Additionally, I am passionate about child psychology and have read extensively on the subject to deepen my understanding of how children learn. This has truly shaped my teaching style which involves alot of interactive discussions and problem solving which in turn leads to increased self confidence and reasoning ability in students. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of tutoring students of different ages and backgrounds in subjects such as Math, Chemistry, and Biology. This experience has strengthened my teaching skills, especially when it comes to understanding different student learning styles. I have found it fascinating to see how students grasp new concepts when they are related to real-life analogies. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for teaching and supporting children in their academic development. I enjoy working with students of all ages, from primary school through to A-level, and I take great pride in helping learners build confidence and achieve their academic potential. Alongside my academic background, I have a wide range of interests including playing sports and cooking different recipes, which I enjoy in my free time. I am also multilingual and can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently, allowing me to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds. I have valuable teaching experience, having previously run my own private tuition sessions for primary school children, primarily focusing on English. I am currently expanding this to include secondary school students as well. I tutor primary school students in both Maths and English, GCSE students in English Language and English Literature, and A-level students in Finance. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and analytical skills essential for a successful career in finance. Following my degree, I also completed a postgraduate course related to Accounting and Finance, achieving a Pass with Distinction. This has further strengthened my knowledge and reinforced my ambition to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant in the future.
