Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over a year. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths and Chemistry and then Economics up to and including year 13 students.

Hi! I am an academically passionate tutor with A* A* A at A-level in English Literature, Biology, and History, and I am currently studying Law with Politics at degree level. I have over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with 11+ and GCSE students. I also have specific experience helping students who were previously struggling or underperforming to move from failing grades to top grades - not just passing - through clear, structured, and targeted teaching. I achieved 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, and 2 Grade 7s at GCSE (2023), followed by A* A* A at A-level (2025) in English Literature, Biology, and History. I am currently studying Law with Politics at undergraduate level, continuing to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and written communication skills. Experience: Alongside my academic studies, I have developed over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have worked with 11+ students as well as GCSE learners, helping students build confidence, improve exam technique, and achieve strong academic progress. My students have all performed successfully in 11+ exams, and have achieved 7s, 8s, and 9s at GCSE level. Having just finished my A Levels studying Biology, Physics, and Mathematics at A Level; I understand the challenges students face when learning these subjects and enjoy helping others build confidence and improve their understanding.
