Hi! I am a newly graduated Doctor with around 10 years of tutoring experience with students aged 7-15 as well as teaching in my OSCE society at University. Levels & subjects I teach: Maths: primary till year 10 11+ prep Languages: fluent in english and urdu/hindi Preferred student age group: primary and pre GCSE About me: I have an outgoing approach to make lessons a fun but productive space for students and make it a priority to understand the tutees in order to cater to their individual needs as a student and optimise their learning experience. I regularly keep parents updated and give tutees homework after each session as questions are the best way to consolodate their learning. I specialize in teaching Math, Chemistry, and Biology across various levels. In Math, I cover topics from basic arithmetic to algebra, geometry, and statistics at GCSE, and focus on core mathematics and mechanics at A-Level. I particularly enjoy working with primary and GCSE students. Known as "Reyzzle," my passion for teaching was sparked by an educator who inspired my love for learning. I aim to motivate students to reach their goals. Outside of teaching, I enjoy baking, traveling, and singing, which help me maintain a balanced life. I am a licensed Professional Teacher and a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Biology graduate, awarded Cum Laude. My academic background has not only deepened my expertise in biology but also provided me with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.
