Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized, focused, and ready to bring creativity into each lesson. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical principles along with effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills. Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! I’m a Physics MSci graduate from UCL with a strong background in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and broader sciences.
