I am a Maths teacher with 4 years of experience. I studied Mathematics at the University of Reading, and earned my PGCE there too. I have worked with 3 GCSE classes to achieve their required grades in Mathematics and Numeracy. I am also able to teach A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and have worked with one AS level class on their applied work in these areas. I studied BSc Mathematics at the University of Reading and achieved a 2:1 in 2021. I then went on to complete my PGCE in Secondary Education at the same university. I have completed a module at The Open University for my Masters in Education and will be completing the final module in the academic year 2026/27.

I specialize in helping students build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. For me, English is more than just grammar rules and vocabulary—it’s a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity, and connection with the world. In my classroom, I create an interactive and supportive environment where students feel safe to share their ideas and take academic risks. I also understand that every learner is unique. That’s why I adapt my teaching strategies based on students’ needs, interests, and learning styles. My goal is not just to teach content, but to inspire curiosity, independence, and a genuine love for learning. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English. My studies provided a strong foundation in teaching methods, linguistics, and literature. I am a university student studying Biomedical science in Nottingham. I enjoy studying Biology and chemistry. I will be tutoring Secondary biology and chemistry and also GCSE which I achieved A*s (8) in. I am passionate about studying and enjoy teaching others. I studied Biology and chemistry at Alevel as well as Maths. In GCSE I achieved A*s in both Chemistry and biology and I am currently studying Biomedical science at university, in my in my third year (out of four). I am currently achieving high marks at university and got a 1st overall last year so hoping to keep that up this year. I will be graduating in 2027 and hopefully go on to do a lot more work within Biology and chemistry. I am constantly learning new topics at university so I feel my knowledge is very good and I would have a good understanding about the biology and chemistry topics that students will query about.

Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
