I am very enthusiastic about Maths and the Sciences. Having just finished my A Levels studying Biology, Physics, and Mathematics at A Level; I understand the challenges students face when learning these subjects and enjoy helping others build confidence and improve their understanding. I aim to make learning engaging and accessible for every student. I recently completed my A Levels at Queen Anne's School, Reading, where I studied Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. I've had a strong interest in science, sport and problem-solving since I started secondary school, which has inspired me to pursue a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at university. Prior to that, I completed my GCSEs at King's Academy Prospect, Reading, achieving good results across all subjects, including Maths and the Sciences. During school, I enjoyed helping classmates with revision, which sparked my interest in tutoring. My recent experience with the current curriculum gives me insight into how students can succeed both academically and confidently

Hi there! I have over 4 years experience tutoring a range of subjects. My specialties are maths, physics, chemistry and Spanish, which I've mostly taught at A-Level and GCSE tiers. I have a BA in mathematics which I studied alongside tutoring, so I can appreciate teaching from both sides of the classroom. Much of my experience revolves around helping students to prepare for exams, and working through past papers together is an invaluable tool for this. I'm also very passionate about my subjects, with STEM I've always had a deep personal interest in how the Universe works, and I've always loved Spain and seeing how the logic in different languages works. I enjoy explaining what I know to others, which puts me in a good position to be a tutor. It's also great to see students progressing over time. My tutoring method is based around giving the student the tools they need and guiding them to solve problems themselves, rather than simply being told the answers. I believe this process helps students to learn how to think critically, and thus become more independent and able to solve problems on their own in the future. In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles and playing chess, which keeps my mind sharp and creative throughout the day. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology, where I developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. My scientific background has enhanced my logical reasoning and precision, which I now apply to teaching Mathematics. I create engaging, inquiry-based lessons that connect mathematical concepts to real-world and scientific contexts, cater to diverse learning styles, and foster a supportive environment where every student can build confidence and achieve success.

My name is Jillian Rowe, and I am a passionate Mathematics Teacher who finds true joy in teaching. I love teaching because it deeply satisfies me to be part of my students’ success, and it is very rewarding to witness their growth and achievements. I teach Mathematics to learners of any age, and my mission is to make the subject more approachable and less intimidating. I also live by the belief of working hard until I reach success, a mindset I encourage my students to adopt as well. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading inspirational books, singing, jogging, and walking, which keep me motivated and balanced in both life and work. I am currently pursuing my Master of Education, Major in Instructional Leadership, at Pangasinan State University, where I have consistently maintained excellent grades. I previously graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, at John Paul College, which gave me a solid foundation in teaching and learning. Alongside my formal teaching career, I have extensive experience in tutoring students of different ages, including a 5-year-old, a 13-year-old, and a 17-year-old, in both English and Mathematics. I also have meaningful experience working with students who have special educational needs (SEN), ensuring that I provide inclusive and supportive learning tailored to each learner’s needs.
