My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths. Whether I'm doing cryptic crosswords or sudokus, I believe that challenging your brain is the most entertaining activity. I am currently attending Newcastle University studying Accounting and Finance. I completed my A-levels at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, where I achieved ABB. I completed my GCSEs at The Blyth Academy, where I achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s.

Hiya! My name is Saskia, I am 19 years old and currently studying (BA) Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. My hobbies include playing rugby and watching f1. I completed my A-levels in 2025, in Psychology, Biology and Maths, and I specialise in teaching psychology (A-level). I love revisiting A-level topics, especially social influence and memory. In addition to this, I teach GCSE maths. After doing Maths at GCSE and A-level, I am accommodated with many techniques to assist in teaching. I completed 10 GCSEs in 2023 (at the Royal Latin School), and then went on to achieve 3 A-levels in Mathematics, Psychology and Biology. Currently I am a teacher of Mathematics for secondary education, and I am also teaching adults as part of their CPD. When I am teaching, I use creative and critical thinking techniques to help my students to acquire in-depth understanding of fundamental concepts of mathematics. Part of my teaching consists of games, quizzes and other creative and fun activities that aim to make teaching and learning easier and more enjoyable. It is also important for me to help my students to learn how to solve word problems, which is a skill that students find hard to acquire. I enjoy walking, travelling, reading, sports and music. Lately I became fascinated with Space exploration and the possibilities that it creates for the development of new technology and how it helps improve living conditions on Earth. I am also interested in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning and how these are based on mathematical thought. I have a degree in Pure Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Greece, an MA in Mathematics Education from Leeds University in the UK and a PGCE in Mathematics from the UK. I have a Qualified Teacher Status to work in UK schools and I have 22 years of work experience in the UK, Greece and Cyprus.

Hello! I am currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Bath. My main pastimes include hiking/camping, going to the gym, and running, so I do hope that I can relate to many of you! For me, tutoring is developing a clear understanding of subject knowledge instead of regurgitation of facts; learning should be to question and to think critically rather than to memorise. With me as a tutor, you can expect to gain a deep insight into your subject and acquire the ability to excel in your exams. I attended Swanmore College Of Technology where I studied 10 GCSE's achieving 5 9's in (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Enterprise and marketing and English literature)- 4 8's ( Maths, Computer science, English language and History) 1 7 ( Further maths). In my A- levels I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, an A in Physics and an A* in an extended project qualification for which I did extensive research in quantum mechanics and furthered my understanding of the double slit experiment exponentially (in both the quantum and classical realm). Currently I am a first year undergraduate at the University Of Bath studying Theoretical Physics.
