Hi! My name is Layla, and I tutor Sciences, Maths, and English as a Foreign Language. I have experience helping students of different ages and backgrounds, whether it’s preparing for exams, strengthening core skills, or building confidence in English communication. My teaching style is friendly and adaptable—I break down difficult topics into simple steps, use real-life examples, and tailor lessons to each student’s learning style. I believe that learning should be enjoyable as well as effective, and I aim to create lessons where students feel supported and motivated. I completed my A-levels at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Biology, Maths, Chemistry, and an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) dissertation, where I researched how sleep and stress intertwine and affect wellbeing. After finishing school, I spent my gap year in Istanbul, studying Arabic and Turkish, which gave me valuable cultural and language-learning experience. This year, I will be starting my degree in Mechanical Engineering at university, and I am excited to apply my strong foundation in maths and sciences to both my studies and my tutoring

Hey I am Si Yeun! I'm a PhD student researching heterogeneous catalysts, and I have 1 year of experience tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for GCSE and below students. Having had some tutoring myself during my GCSE period, I know how much of a nerve-wracking experience it is for both students and parents.
