Hello! My name is Yasmine and I am finishing my 3rd year of my undergraduate degree, I’ve loved studying criminology and psychology, but my main interests are in criminology and cybercrime!. I really love English literature, reading and social psychology, as well as other crafty hobbies in my free time :) I have completed my 9 GCSEs C-A* including mathematics and English, A-levels in psychology, media studies and English literature, and currently in my final year of my undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology, with plans to focus on the areas of cybersecurity and forensic analysis after graduation.

I am currently accepting students from (i)GCSE to A-Level and IB. My main subject is English - which I am currently studying at degree leve! I am also able to tutor for verbal and non-verbal reasoning for the 11+. I have previous experience working with neurodiverse people and making education more accessible is something I am super passionate about. I am currently attending the University of York and am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy. I achieved three A-Levels in English Literature, Religious Studies/Philosophy, and Politics. My A-Levels were all at grade A or higher. I have 9 GCSEs and passed the 11+ exam. I also have significant experience in topics relating to radio, tv, film, and broadcasting as I have spent many years volunteering in these sectors.

I’m a friendly and patient tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I teach both Maths and Computer Science across a range of levels, from early primary all the way up to GCSE, I adapt each lesson to how the student learns best. For older students, I emphasise exam technique, structured problem-solving, and strengthening any gaps in knowledge. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in Maths or Computer Science, my goal is always to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where progress feels achievable. I have a strong background in both Maths and Computer Science, and I have worked with students across a range of ages and learning styles. My experience includes tutoring primary, secondary, and adult learners, helping them improve their understanding of key concepts as well as their confidence in approaching challenging topics. I have supported students with curriculum learning, homework support, and exam preparation, particularly in Maths and Computer Science. Through tutoring, I’ve worked with learners who needed help strengthening foundations as well as students aiming to reach top grades. My experience across different age groups allows me to adjust my teaching approach depending on the student. For younger learners, I focus on building strong fundamentals and making lessons engaging. For secondary and adult learners, I focus more on deeper understanding, logical thinking, and structured problem-solving.

I am an educator with over 9 years of experience in teaching, student support, and program development. As an ESOL Teacher, I’ve taught non-native speakers across multiple levels, designing tailored lessons and coordinating curriculum delivery with partners to maintain high standards. In student development roles, I created enrichment activities, mentored leaders, and provided pastoral care—facilitating workshops on well-being and fostering inclusive environments. Currently working as a freelance teacher, I focus on interactive, student-centered learning. Fluent in English, Dutch, and spoken Arabic, I’m proficient in digital tools and Microsoft Office. I’m passionate about supporting local learners and helping college communities thrive through accessible, quality education.
