I am an experienced maths tutor based in Glasgow. I received my maths degree from the University of Glasgow and have tutored and range of age groups from primary school age, through to high school and also undergraduate. I am passionate about learning and believe that learning is about enjoyment and practicality. I enjoy helping people succeed and ultimately seeing people become more confident within themselves.

After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. After A Bachelor of Arts in History and English, at Wits University in Johannesburg in 1984, I did a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education, in English and History. I then taught in London and South Africa for nine years, during which time I qualified with a Bachelor of Education in Applied Linguistics, from Wits University. In 1998, my family and I went to Vancouver, British Columbia, for me to study a Masters Degree in Theology. We returned to SA in 2002. In 2016, I graduated with a PhD in History, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am currently enrolled for my TTA TEFL certificate, Level 5, to qualify and teach EFL, from April 2025.

Hi! My name is Muhammad and I teach Maths and Physics from GCSE up to A Level, as well as GCSE Science. I’m a full-time university student at UCL studying MSci Medical Physics. I practice martial arts on a regular basis, and I have also taught it as an Instructor at Karate Academy UK since 2021. Doing so has driven my passion for teaching and passing knowledge on to others - not just in martial arts, but in academics too. I am studying Biotechnology at the University of Nottingham and have been tutoring students from KS2 to A-Level for two years. I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The teacher-student relationship is pivotal to helping a student progress, hence I emphasise the importance on getting to know my student through their hobbies and interests firstly and relate that to their learning. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on. Then I went to Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School for my A Levels where I achieved A*AAA in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology respectively. I am now in the process of undergoing my MBBS Medicine degree at the University of Manchester Medical School. Currently in Year 1.

Hi! My name is Ren. I love to read - my favourite books ever are 'The Vegetarian' by Han Kang and 'The Goldfinch' by Donna Tartt. My favourite TV shows are Come Dine With Me and Breaking Bad - I'll watch them on repeat and will probably never be bored of them. I also absolutely love to paint and draw, and have three cats called Mango, ! I completed my GCSEs and A Levels in Wimbledon. I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 in English Language and Linguistics in 2023, then finished my Master's in Education at Leeds Beckett University. I have completed a PGCE year during which I trained to become an English secondary school and A-Level teacher.
