Usually my tutorials consist of going through questions on the student's chosen topic(s) together to build confidence and understanding. However, I am very flexible and can give more in-depth explanations of concepts, go through past exam papers, help with homework, or anything else that will support the student to achieve their personal best. I am happy to help learners from KS3 up to GCSE, including adults who may be taking their exams later in life. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Before children, I worked in various administrative and sales jobs, in Call Centre, Imports, Advertising and Financial Planning. For fun and exercise I enjoy gardening, swimming and Pilates. When I was younger, I enjoyed Horse Riding and competed in Show Jumping and Cross Country at Pony Club level. I love animals and have a menagerie of pets with a small dog, a cat, 7 hens and an aquarium. My eldest son and are keen Formula 1 fans. He supports Max Verstappen and I support Lewis Hamilton. Recently I signed up for Edexel GCSE Math and found that, actually, I enjoyed Math! My experience of Math at High School was not great – the teacher taught in a wrote-style and was so boring, I had the same teacher for all 5 years of High School, the classes were large. I hope to share my enjoyment of Math so that you, too, can enjoy Math.

My name is Chloe, and I am currently in my final year of my masters! I enjoy teaching as much as I enjoy learning. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I went to study 6 subjects in sixth form at Dartford grammar, (rather than the typical 3 A levels). I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. I am in my third year of Biotechnology BSc (Hons) and have studied a variety of modules during my studies that equiped me with relevant knowledge that will allow me to stretch my students who want to know more about science. I help my students reach their maximum potential by focusing on building the skills that they will need to succeed in exams. Exam skills are often the downfall of even very intelligent students. Exams are stressful and unnatural enviroments, but by practicing all types of questions together, my students have gone on to achieve grades that they would not have thought possible.
