Hi, I’m Kayode Ewumi, an English tutor with a passion for helping students of all ages find joy in literature and language. I began my academic journey at St. Thomas the Apostle School, where I built a solid foundation across a range of subjects, particularly in the humanities. It was here that my interest in English and the arts first sparked. After completing my secondary education, I attended City and Islington College for my A-Levels, where I focused on subjects like English Literature and Language. The college environment provided a more focused, mature setting for my studies, and I was challenged to delve deeper into texts and engage in more analytical discussions. This experience solidified my commitment to pursuing a career that combined both my love for English and the performing arts. I then went on to study Theatre and English at Coventry University, a decision that allowed me to merge my two main academic interests. The university environment was intellectually stimulating, and I had the opportunity to explore both the literary world of English and the expressive, creative world of theatre. Throughout my degree, I honed my writing, critical analysis, and performance skills, which culminated in me graduating with First-Class Honours.

Hello, I am currently a masters degree student in applied aquatic biology at the University of Portsmouth. I have experience with AQA GCSE biology and Eduqas A level biology exam boards. I am fluent in English. I have grown up tutoring my younger sister and disabled brother who suffers with brain damage and epilepsy so have some experience with disabilities. I would preferably like to tutor primary to A-level. I enjoy marine mammal research, skiing and sailing in my spare time as well as musical theatre. I’ve just graduated the University of Portsmouth with a First class degree in Marine Biology. My name is Samhita Andhavarapu and I'm a 1st year med student studying abroad! I did Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-level I will be teaching A-Level Maths and Biology I have some experience in teaching both subjects when I used to mentor some students in high school with GCSE maths and Biology I am determined to prepare well before the class. Therefore, I will try to adapt my teaching style to the students needs and based on the best way that they learn. I got A's in both subjects at A-Level I got A's in Maths and Biology at A-Level. I received a 7 in GCSE Biology and a 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths. As I am now studying medicine at university I feel like my level of knowledge for Biology and Maths is strong. However, if I do not know something I will be prepared to learn and then help my student understand the concept of the topic.

Hi, I’m Harrison; I look forward to working with you! I hold a first class degree in English Literature, going on to study for an MA in public policy at the university of York. I achieved top marks at gcse (A*) and achieved a B in English literature and History at A-Level. That’s the academics out of the way, in terms of experience, I have tutored since 2020. I was volunteering with an educational charity called action tutoring, providing English and History tuition to groups of 1-3. These were children mainly on the borderline of a pass, looking to achieve passing and even top grades (including 8/9s)I have a good track record of tangible outcomes and was responsible for their progress throughout, keeping records of tests, progression and revision structure.. Some of these students also had significant challenges at home and at school, and so I developed a strong sense of resilience and motivation for education. A few students were also neurodivergent, and so I gained a appreciation and understanding of neurodivergence in education. Since then, I have kept tutoring throughout my university education and hope to do it as I study for my masters degree. All in all that's about 4 years experience! I pride myself on keeping my lessons personal and supportive, and will always ask for suggestions to improve and include the student in the direction of study.
