Hi, Im Lia! I'm a second year psychology student at Loughborough University. Studying psychology, I am constantly learning about people and the way that our brains work both individually and together. This includes studying the most effective ways to learn and recall information. My AS and A-Levels consisted of 3 core subjects, so I have an array of expertise when it comes to exam technique. With my goal of becoming a secondary teacher, I am really looking forward to bringing my passion and enthusiasm to the virtual classroom. I already have a few years experience tutoring secondary students, so have discovered firsthand the best ways to engage and assist my students in whatever way they need. I am a strong believer in the importance of practicing exam questions and their structure when it comes to revision. Therefore within my sessions, I will discuss areas and topics that you may be finding more difficult, find a new way to explain it to you, and finally complete as many past paper questions surrounding the topic, to ensure that you receive all the marks, and therefore the grades that you deserve. I'm excited to hear from you! I studied an AS in Maths (Grade A), and essential core subjects at A-level: English Literature and Language (Grade A*), Psychology (Grade A*) and Biology (Grade A). I am currently studying BSc Psychology at Loughborough University, and once having graduated next year, am look to further my teaching career by completing a secondary PGCE in Science with Biology at University of Cambridge.

My son grades in French, a core subject has improved since Oliver has started tutoring him. He is comfortable with his tutor and is even practising the language on his own. He sees his tutor as a mentor, is motivated to learn and speak French. Quote from my son " I can't wait to be able to speak French fluently!".

A

Aisha Khaleeq

Always on time, very knowledgeable about the subject and taught my daughter in a way she passed the subject with 78% marks. She took physics online and Go student became my choice for her when someone suggested me. She had 2 tutors in the 6 months period , because (Mikael went back to school)in her grade 12. Both of them Mikhael Hanna and David Chukweumeka were great teachers for here. Best decisions I ever took.

Roland has been incredible and my son is enjoying the sessions and most importantly it is reflecting in his school work.

The benefits of biology tutoring

How can biology tutoring improve grades and self-confidence?

Many biology students struggle to keep up with what can be a heavy workload, and teachers don’t always have the time to answer all their questions or go into in-depth explanations. This can lead to students feeling overwhelmed and falling behind in their work, especially at a higher level.

GoStudent biology tutors offer one-to-one lessons that can address any problem areas as well as teach effective learning strategies. This leads to improved understanding and increased confidence.

Book a free trial with GoStudent today and we will set your child up with a biology tutor who can assess which areas your child needs help with and design an individual learning plan precisely tailored to their needs.

The advantages of studying biology

Biology offers a wide range of exciting job opportunities.
