Very patient caring tutor with over 20 years of experience. I mainly tutor GCSE English and German, but I also teach the primary school curriculum including sats. All lessons are bespoke to the individual's request and level. I offer the student motivation and clarity with their exam work and with improving any areas that need addressing. I have excellent pass results and am very knowledgeable with all the examining boards. Everyone is unique but everyone can succeed. I am totally bilingual in German through my parentage and also lived in Germany for a number of years and worked there as an English language teacher. I attended the open university and achieved my degree in humanities after which I obtained my PGCE in primary education. I taught at various schools before I became a private tutor but found that being a tutor was far more rewarding. I enjoy my job immensely and I also teach online as well as one to one tutoring. I am always updating my knowledge of the current school curriculum and attend educational courses just to see what is going on and how things evolve in Education .

Hello! My name is Grettah, and I’m a passionate English teacher with a love for helping students grow in confidence and communication. I have experience teaching learners of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced speakers. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals — whether that’s improving conversation skills, pronunciation, grammar, or writing. I believe learning English should be enjoyable and meaningful, so I use real-life topics, games, and storytelling to make every class engaging. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and exploring new cultures, which helps me bring a global perspective into my lessons. I’m patient, encouraging, and committed to helping my students achieve success in English — step by step! I completed my matric at Meridian College in 2010. I went on to further my studies at Pearson Institute where I completed a BA degree majoring in English and Psychology in 2017. I am currently an undergraduate for a Bachelor of Education at the University of South Africa. I have been teaching English online since 2021.

My name is Alia and I’m from London. I have achieved strong As in my GCSE grades including English Language and Literature as well as ICT. My passion is teaching and I especially love helping people bring out their potential and going beyond to ensure success. I have had the experience of working with a variety of different people from different cultures and ages whilst working and I have helped them to build on their English in general and significantly improve their fluency and pronunciation. I then volunteered in helping primary/secondary school pupils/students with their SATS and exams in general from which I received outstanding feedback from the parents and if possible the pupils/students themselves. This then encouraged me to become a tutor and start my own lessons because I realised how much I enjoy helping students reach their personal goals and achieve success.

Hi! I'm Jenna, a recently graduated Psychology student with a passion for learning and helping others achieve their full potential. As a determined problem-solver, I have always loved maths - the satisfaction I get from solving a particularly difficult problem is what makes it my favourite! From solving algebraic equations in early GCSE to working out financial budgets for my university life, maths has always been exciting for me. Hopefully I can share this passion with you, and have some fun along the way. I have some tutoring experience across a range of contexts, from helping year 7s struggling with secondary school maths topics, to regularly assisting university students with psychology questions. At the forefront of my focus is a student's inherent grasp of the topic. I will continually check your understanding, and I am willing to approach the topic from a different angle in order to elevate your understanding and knowledge. I am determined to help you in any way that I can so you can achieve your personal academic goals and importantly, boost your confidence in your own mathematical ability. There are no stupid questions in lessons with me - I will encourage you to stick with it and keep asking for help and guidance until you could do it in your sleep! It's not always about top grades: a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and familiarity with numerical rules come first, but good marks almost always come hand in hand with this. I look forward to tutoring you!

One of my favourite things to do is helping people learn. And not just forcefully learning and memorising, but learning in a way they understand. Learning in a way easiest and least challenging for them as an individual. I love teaching Maths because I think it’s amazing how there are so many different ways to get to the correct answer. So even if you might not understand how one way works, that’s absolutely okay because that’s not the only way to the answer. Whichever way works for you in understanding how to get to the answer, is the way we’ll figure out and work with together. And once we do it together, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to do it independently. That being said, I also love Biology and Chemistry because science is also great. And believe it or not, but the answers are usually easier to find than you’d think. Whether you're wanting to excel and get the top grade, or wanting to pass a subject you're not really in love with, I think everyone has the potential to achieve what they want and continue to advance forward in life. Including you. Whether you believe it or not, you have the potential and ability to succeed. Even if you might need a little help or nudge in seeing that ability, that’s absolutely fine – and I would love to be that person to help give you that encouragement in seeing your potential. We've got this. You’ve got this!

My name is Rebecca and I am from South Wales, United Kingdom. I have experienced living in different places around the UK and I lived in London for several years, which was an amazing experience to meet people from international countries and learn many things about their culture and interests too. I enjoy cooking at home, as formally I have trained on the job as a professional chef, mainly in seafood/fish restaurants and Japanese cuisine. Also, I like going for a walk down the coastline and taking in the scenic views, photography and sometimes video gaming when the time arises. For over a year, I have been teaching English online as a second language to Taiwanese and Chinese students, both juniors and adults. Which became an interest whilst I was teaching sushi classes in London. I decided to advance onto teaching specifically English and conversational topics chosen by students, to further improve their overall English language. From education I gained a TEFL level 5 teaching qualification and a BSc (Hons) in Food and Consumer Management from Birmingham University. Which focused on live industry projects within the FMCG sector, nutrition and the business elements within the food industry. I enjoy cooking at home, particularly Japanese cuisine and seafood dishes that I learnt previously as a professional chef.
