I am currently studying for my masters in Civil Engineering, I enjoy tutoring and have experience in tutoring both GCSE and A Level students, having acquired high grades in these subjects and levels myself. My goal is to help students understand the methods for each question, instead of simply finding the answer, helping them to continue to succeed when tackling questions of a similar nature within an exam setting.

Hey! My name is Maria and I am 24 years old. I am currently studying Dietetics at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. I have grown up trilingual, speaking Italian, German and Ladin at home with family and friends. Ladin is a very uncommon language, only 40,000 people speak it. Moreover, I speak English fluently and learned Russian for 5 years (B1 level). After finishing high school I went to Australia for 7 months. I worked and travelled along the southern and eastern coasts. I have worked as a teacher for a couple of months a few years ago, with a special focus on children with learning difficulties. I can teach Italian and German at all levels, and Maths and Biology at Lower Level. I don't have a preferred student age group.

Hello! My name is Toby and I am a current student at the University of Reading, studying Pharmacology. I previously attained 3 A-Levels for Chemistry, Biology and Geography as well as tutoring my sisters/family friends during their GCSEs too. I have some great hands on experience at tutoring and I strive for success! My favourite hobbies outside of education is probably skateboarding and making music and I love dogs. :) Previously I attended Penistone Grammar School for secondary education, as I am originally from Sheffield. I took separate sciences for one of my GCSE choices as well as geography and business study’s and achieved 8s in all of these. After this I attended Penistone grammar school 6th form for my A-Levels. I enjoyed it here a lot where I then studied Chemistry, Biology and Geography. From here I achieved all my A-Levels and now go to the University of Reading and study Pharmacology.

I mainly focus on teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics because these are the subjects I enjoy the most and have gained the experience teaching. Levels and subjects I teach: GCSE: Maths A Level: Maths, Biology Exam Board Experience: Further Maths - Edexcel Maths - Edexcel Chemistry - AQA Biology - AQA Language: English Preferred Student age group: GCSE & A-level Hi, my name is Michael. I am a friendly, patient and determined tutor. I recently finished my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I believe that this experience puts me in a great position to share my knowledge to help other students because I know what is needed in order to excel in these subjects. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I have previous experience teaching other students from my school A-level maths concepts which they struggled with. While preparing for A-levels I created some resources that enabled me to achieve 4 A*s in the subjects above and have helped other students. I would be happy to share these and other strategies I used in preparation for exams. Outside of academics, I am a relaxed person and enjoy a wide range of sports, my favourites being football and basketball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family. Feel free to message me with any questions.
